"We're eating. But for that, we need to take care of the food first. That's the surprise."

I let her stand there, trying to process her emotions. "You love Fuoco's pizza, right? But I'm not the chef here. I've never made pizza for anyone before. But I think you love my cooking."

"I might," she said teasingly. I liked it when she teased me. I moved to the fridge and pulled a few things out: tomato sauce, a few greens, and a huge wedge of what looked like Parmesan cheese.

"The head chef gave me a few tips, told me where everything is, and I hope it tastes good too."

"I'm sure it will. Let me first set up the camera." After she turned on the camera, she started talking to it. "Hi guys, so Mingyu and I are now on this cute little pizza date, and as you can see, we're inside a restaurant about to make a pizza." Then she turned the camera towards me, saying, "So, Mingyu. Are you going to cook? You'll cook for us and let me watch?"

"Nope." I walked over to her holding an apron. I set the camera aside, angling it at us. "We'll cook. Together. Because I deserve a little watching too. Don't you think?" Before she could react, I moved behind her, my arms going around her sides. "Doing some extra stunts just for the act. Nothing else," I whispered in her ear, moving closer, my chest almost brushing her back. She nodded quickly in response. My chin came impossibly close to her shoulder, so close that I was pretty sure we'd share our next breath if she tilted her head to the side. "Let's suit you up," I said to her. Once again, she nodded her head in response.

I placed the apron against her front and wrapped the ends around her waist. They were too long on her, so they furled around her twice, keeping me on the task a little longer. My head peered over her shoulder to get a clear view of my own hands, and the side of my jaw brushed her cheek. Suddenly, her body moved back. Her shoulder blades came to rest against my chest, and the back of her head against my throat. Warmth draped around me, turning me supple and alive in her touch. All at once, I held my ground, welcoming her weight.

"I'm making sure the knot holds," I said in a low, gravel-like voice. She nodded her head, remaining very still while I worked on tying the knot. Once done, my palms came to rest against her belly, as if incapable of letting go. Then, I whispered in her ear, "You're ready now."

"Thanks," she breathed out, then looked down. "It looks like you did a very thorough job." My jaw brushed against her cheek again, and all the air from my lungs caught somewhere in my throat.

"I'm a thorough man," I answered. "I don't do things halfway." Without another word, she stepped away, and my whole body turned cold at the loss of her body heat. I heard her clear her throat before I moved back to the counter, mumbling, "Enough material for the videos." That honestly made me a little disappointed for some reason, but I shrugged it off. "Aren't you going to wear an apron, too?"

"I don't think I'll need one." The corners of my lips tugged up when I faced her, as if nothing had just happened. Although, what just happened?

"Now, come here, Do-hee. You won't be able to cook all the way over there."

"Okay." She obeyed, making a move in my direction. "But don't think I've missed the way you're implying I'm messy." I barked out a laugh.

'Cute.'

"You know, I'm not that bad of a cook." I ignored her teeny-tiny lie and dragged the plastic container toward her.

"Step one, we stretch the dough." I took the lid off, revealing two smooth balls. My index finger delicately pressed into one of them. "These have been proofed already; see how the dough bounces back?" Imitating me, she patted one of them, too.
