Chapter 8

    Georgina

The following day after school I took a cab to Finn's place. I was still worried about him especially recalling he refused to go to the hospital. Once I was there, I knocked and waited nervously for him to open.

"Georgina?" Finn spoke in a worried tone. He looked surprised to see me. 
"I am sorry. I'll go put on a shirt." He said and chuckled nervously.

"It's okay," I said staring at his left chest where he was shot. It was looking perfectly fine and healed. Not even a scar.

"Are you sure?" He asked and I nodded. 
"You know the last time you saw my naked chest...

"Drop it, Finn." I cut him off.

"Okay. Come in then." He said and we both walked inside. I sat down on a couch while Finn went on to grab a shirt from the other couch.

"Wanna some juice or soda or coffee maybe?" He asked

"No. I wanna talk." I responded.

"Okay," Finn said and sat next to me.
"Let's talk. What should we talk about?"

"Anything. For example, your wounds. How the hell are you healed? You were shot so bad last night. How did you heal, Finn?"

"Georgina I don't know how to explain everything to you. I just don't know how "

"I wanna hear it all. Go ahead tell me everything. I don't care how bad it is. Just tell me, Finn."

"I am sorry I can't. I can't, Georgina."

"Why?" I asked

"It's complicated and I don't want to tell you. I don't want to burden you with all my...everything."

"No. It's not a burden. Please tell me." I begged.

"No. I won't. " Finn said firmly.

"It's not my business. I shouldn't even have asked." I said angrily and grabbed my bag and started walking away.

"Georgina please..." Finn said walking after me.

"I am sorry Marcus got you arrested. It was all my fault. I am sorry about Liam too. It feels like my fault too." I said and walked away and turning a deaf ear to Finn shouting my name.

I hopped into another taxi and headed to June's house. She had texted saying she was having a day off. After about thirty minutes later I was at her doorstep. I knocked and she asked me to come in.  I stepped in. June was sitting on a sofa with Lucas, her older brother. I held my legs at the door starring at them. I

"Hi. Come on Lucas was just leaving." She said and I continued walking.

"Hi, Lucas," I said and smirked.

Lucas ignored me and walked away after June handed him some cash.

"I didn't know he is back in town. He looks different though." I said

"He's using again. That's why he looked different." June said sadly.

"Did he come here to ask for money?" I asked and she nodded.

"Damn! And you gave him? You know he's gonna buy drugs, June."

"What choice do I have, Gee? You saw him. He looks that way coz he hasn't used drugs since morning. If he goes any further, he's gonna lose his mind. I have to help him." June said.

"Okay. I am sure  we are gonna find him some help." I said.
