Chapter 44. Liam's Birthday

# One week later

I was sitting down on a couch thinking about how much my life sucked at the moment. I had lost Georgina to Jasper, Alex to Isa, and kicked Shelby out after I called her threat a bluff. Julia and my mom were also angry at me and Gordon was still breathing under my neck.
A few minutes later, Liam walked from upstairs and said; good morning to me reminding me that I had him. I grinned at the thought of it. Liam was my everything and having him by my side was more than enough.

"It's my birthday today. Are we going to plan for a party? Liam asked and startled me. I had been so preoccupied that I forgot that it was his birthday. To avoid hurting him I grinned and then said;

"Happy birthday, Liam. I did not forget your birthday and of course, we are going to throw you a party." I spoke

"Thank you, Finn. I'll go and send people invitation messages." Liam said and ran back upstairs.

"Damn it! How am I going to plan for a party? That's Alex's thing." I mumbled
"Anyway, I gotta do something," I said and stood up and left the house after shouting to Liam asking him to be careful, I'll be back soon.

I left the house and drove to the supermarket where I bought stuff that I figured could be used at a kid's birthday party. I also bought Liam a present that I thought was perfect.
After I was done shopping I drove back home and with the help of my neighbor, Sherry I prepared everything. Once everything was set I went up in my room and napped.

I woke up to Liam calling my name. I glimpsed at my wristwatch and realized it was already 6 pm. I slept for over three hours.
I hopped down my bed.

"Ooh, I see you are ready for the party and what's that perfume?" I asked after glancing at Liam for a while. He was wearing black jeans and a grey T-shirt that had HD initials on it. I bought it for him months ago.

"I took your cologne. I am sorry. I know you said not to touch your things."

"It's your birthday. We can make an exception today." I said and he grinned happily
"Anyway, I'll hit the shower then I'll be down in a minute," I added

"Don't be long. The guests are already arriving." Liam said and exited the room. I jumped in the shower and gave my body a cold brisk wash.
After the shower, I dressed up and headed downstairs.
After a few steps, I stopped and took stock of the surroundings. To my surprise, the living room was crowded. It was nothing like I had thought of. When Liam said that he was inviting people over I had thought of a few kids from the neighborhood but damn, he had invited all adults he could think of. I continued walking.

"Ooh, hello guys," I said to Raven and Helena who were standing just beside the stairs.

"Hello, handsome guy," Helena said and gave me a side hug

"Cool party," Raven said

"I didn't know you guys were coming," I said and chuckled lightly

"Liam invited me and I invited Helena. I hope that's not a problem." Raven responded

"No, it's not a problem at all. You guys are my friends." I said
"I'll see you around. I have to find my little brother." I added and continued walking away.
After a few minutes, I finally found Liam talking to Sherry on the couch.

"Sherry, go get the guests more drinks," Liam said and Sherry walked away without hesitation.

"Liam, why did you invite adults to your party?" I asked

"They are our friends and neighbors. Well, some neighbors I don't even know them, cool huh?" He responded and I said nothing as I was staring at the entrance where Alex just stepped in with Isa beside him.
