Chapter 59

June finally arrived home around 10 pm. Walking upstairs she caught a glimpse of Marcus smoking outside her door while facing away from the stairs.

"I see you are smoking." June spoke to announce her arrival. Marcus quickly turned to her and dropped the cigarette on the floor.
"Does it mean you know?" June asked
"You barely smoke unless you are under stress." She added

"Why the hell didn't you tell me about Gee?" Marcus asked
June laughed out loud. Marcus groaned angrily

"I wanted to tell you. Last night when I came to your place, I wanted to and this evening when I came to your shop I wanted to tell you but I guess you were far too busy." June responded

"Why the hell are you here? Does your girlfriend know you're here?" She asked

"What video is Georgina talking about in this letter?" Marcus asked showing the letter Georgina had written to him. June grabbed it and skimmed through it.

"We should talk about this inside." June said and continued to open the door. She allowed Marcus in and closed the door behind herself.
Marcus sat down. June sat next to him.

"You have to tell me everything, June. Please." Marcus spoke

"Okay, but it's not good." June warned as she retrieved her phone from her bag. She then handed the phone to Marcus after unlocking it and scrolling on Finn's messages.

"Finn Peterson?" Marcus asked looking at the sender of the video.

"He only sent me the video. Watch it." June responded and stood and started walking around aimlessly as Marcus played the video.

"Fuck!" Marcus exclaimed and threw the phone away.
"Why the hell would you make me watch that?" He asked

"I told you it wasn't good." June responded

June turned to Marcus and noted the his face was already frowning. Anger was showing all over his face and his fists were closed tightly ready to punch. He then stood up and started walking towards the door.
Once he was at the door, he pulled to open but it was locked.
Turning around, he said; "Open the damn door, June and why the hell did you lock it? Did you think I was coming for a sleepover or what?" He asked

"I am not letting you go." June responded

Marcus laughed sarcastically then asked;
"What?

"I know you want to go after Jasper Martinez and I am not going to let you do that. I am not letting you do something stupid."

"And since when do you care about that bastard?"

"I don't care about him. It's you who I care about, Marcus. " June responded
"If you go to Jasper's now, you might hurt him or even kill him. You're angry and you have all the rights to be but I don't want you end up in prison. It's not what's best for Gee now." She added

"You're right I am going to kill that son of a bitch. Now open the damn door, June." Marcus spoke angrily

"No. I won't open it." June protested

"I really don't want to argue with you, June but you are making it so fucking impossible." Marcus spoke angrily.
"My sister is missing and you're doing what? Holding me hostage so I won't go get some stupid guy who is the reason she's gone?" He asked

"As much we are concerned we don't know if Jasper leaked the video. The video was from an anonymous sender." June responded
"So, pull yourself together and sit your ass down and let me tell what I have been doing the whole evening."
