Chapter 63

Nicole Peterson was again hanging outside Liam's school gate. This time on a bench that was set just around the school gate.
She was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of black glasses to make it hard for anyone to recognize her.
At exactly 5.00 pm Liam and Maria walked outside the gate with other students behind them.

"Bye, Liam." Maria spoke and walked hurriedly to the car that was honking at her. Liam went ahead and sat on the bench next to Nicole.

"Hey;" Nicole finally spoke after staring at Liam for a while. Liam ignored her and scooted over at almost the edge of the bench.
Nicole removed her glasses and then spoke again. This time she fetched Liam's attention.

"I know you." Liam spoke, startling Nicole Peterson.
"I saw you at my house a few weeks ago. Are you a friend of Finn's?" Liam asked.
Nicole breathed in relaxation. She had thought that Liam meant she knew her as his mother.

"Yes, I am a friend of Finn's" Nicole responded

"I have met all his friends. I have never seen an old one." Liam spoke
Nicole face dulled for a second as she contemplated about Liam's statement.
"The old ones I have met were kidnappers lying to be Finn's friends only to take me away." Liam added

"Kidnappers?" Nicole asked

"Yeah, I have been kidnapped twice. Anyway, I shouldn't be telling you this. I don't know you either." Liam spoke

"I am never going to kidnap you. I assure you of that." Nicole spoke

"What's your name?" Liam asked

"Nicole P..." Nicole paused
"Just call me Nicole." She finished her statement.

"Whoa!" Liam exclaimed
"You're Nicole just like our mom. Finn told me that our mom's name was Nicole Peterson." He added
"I wasn't so lucky to know her. She was gone when I was a little kid. Months old, says Finn." Liam continued talking and this time Nicole felt  her motherly instinct kicking in. She was already feeling quilty for abandoning her kids.

"I am Liam Peterson but I suppose you already knew that."

"Of course, I gave you the damn name." Nicole said in her mind.

"Yes, I have heard Finn mention you several times." She responded out loud

"Anyway, we should hang out sometime. What do you think?" Nicole asked

"Aren't you too old to hang out with a twelve years old?" Liam asked
"No offense." He added

"None taken." Nicole said

"You see the thing is I am like you and Finn. I also have the powers. I too can do things just like you." Nicole spoke
"I can teach you how to use and control your powers." She added

"I know how to use my powers and control them. I don't need your help."

"I know that but there's much more that you don't know yet and Finn will never let you know. He says that you're still a baby."

"A baby?"

"Yes, he told me that. You should let me help you unleash your powers and no one will ever kidnap you ever again." Nicole said
"What do you think?"

"Alex's here. I should go." Liam said after spotting Alex's car pulling over.

"Don't tell him about me. He wouldn't understand. And if you will consider my offer I'll be her tomorrow at 5 pm." Nicole said

Liam stood up and walked away without saying a word. Once he covered the distance between himself and Alex who was now outside the car, both hugged. They then hopped in and drove away.
Nicole drove away too.

***Campus**

Raven, Helena and Julie were hanging at the campus resting area. This was after their classes.

"I think we should do something about Jasper." Raven spoke

"About Jasper?" Helena asked

"Yes, he's the reason Gee's missing." Raven responded
"His life is going on like nothing happened while Georgina's somewhere only God knows doing what." She added
"We don't even know if she's alive."

"Hey; she's alive. The police are going to find her." Helena spoke

"What do you think you should do, Raven?'" Julie asked.

"We should find evidence that Jasper or his friends leaked the video then take it to the cops and have Jasper arrested."

"Is it against the law to leak a sex tape?" Helena asked

"I suppose it is if there was no consent of the two parties involved." Raven responded
"And even if it's not, we can give it to the school chancellor and Jasper will be punished. This campus does not take such assaults easily. Look at what happened to Finn." She added

"Yeah, I remember. I am in. Jasper has caused so much to a lot of people. Finn lost his scholarship because of him and Gee's now missing because of him. He has to pay. Tell me what we have to do, Raven." Helena spoke

"I am in too." Julie spoke

"Are you sure?" Helena asked , Julie nodded to mean yes.

"We are going to have a party on saturday and everyone will be invited. Even those who were at the Martinez Beach house for summer." Raven said
"The party will be at my lake house." She added

"A party? How's that going to help us get evidence against Jasper?" Helena asked

"I got a plan. I'll enlighten you then." Raven responded
"Tomorrow we are going to pass word to everyone about the party."

"Okay, I am already excited about this." Helena spoke

Later that day, Marcus Davis matched inside June's coffee shop at exactly 8.30 pm. He was still in his business wear. June stared at him walking towards the counter where she was sitting and although she was still mad at him , she still found him attractive.

"Damn it, June!" She exclaimed silently
"You're mad at him. Don't forget that." She mumbled at herself. After Marcus covered the distance between the, June fixated her gaze on her laptop and started to scroll it.

"Hey;" Marcus spoke
June ignored her.

"I am sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have talked to you like that." Marcus apologized
"You both left me no choice. I didn't know what to do and I was still worried about Gee."

"Does your girlfriend know that you're here?" June asked with her head still lowered on her laptop.

"What's wrong with you, June? Are you angry with me for dating Beach? Are you really jealous of her?" Marcus fired his questions at June. This time he grabbed her attention.

"Why don't you ask yourself what the hell is wrong with you, Marcus. Why the hell are you with Beach? Because her dad begged you? What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Are you some kid or just a  puppet?" June lashed out at Marcus.

"If you paid more attention on your sister you would have known that she lied about going to Raven's lake house but I guess you were so busy thinking about how you were going to ask two women to move in with you." June spoke angrily
"If you cared enough for Gee you would have known that she was missing. You fucking stayed for over twenty four hours without seeing her and doing what? Running around with Beach?" June continued lashing out.  Marcus's face was now showing anger drawn all over it.

"It's your fault Gee is gone." She added

"Don't you ever dare again question about my care for my sister. You can fucking talk about anyone else but not Gee. Never again, June." Marcus spoke angrily. He was so pissed off that his face veins were showing on his face.

"And I am with Beach because you are so proud be with anyone. You know how I feel about you. You know  I would always choose you but you won't let me. So, don't dare question who I date either. It's none of your business." Marcus spoke angrily

"And you don't have to come looking for Gee anymore. Detective and I can handle it." Marcus added and walked away and slammed the door behind himself.

June leaned down and cried silently.
