Georgina's pov"Okay, what about next week?" Mr Thomas finally agreed to give me a make-up exam. I was sitting down in his office with him sitting opposite me.
"Fine by me, sir," I said and grinned
"I'll get going. Thank you, sir." I added and then started walking away but Mr Thomas stopped me."Georgina, if the shooting case is still putting you on edge you can talk to me or a therapist." He said. I got startled
"Where the hell did he learn that I had been shot?" My mind wondered."You know?" I finally managed to ask.
"Yes, Jasper told me." He responded and startled me again.
"He did, huh?" I asked
"Yes. I questioned him when he came back to school." He responded.
"He also said you were going after Finn Peterson." He added and startled me even more."Why would you go after Finn Peterson even after he attempted to r... you?" Me Thomas asked now scaring me.
"Excuse me, sir," I said and stormed out of his office.
"What the fuck, Jas?" I mumbled at myself as I could not ponder what Mr Thomas had just told me.
I walked hurriedly through the hallway not exactly sure where I was headed. I had thought of finding Raven and Helena then recalled they were still pretty mad at me. I buried that thought and birthed the idea of looking for Jasper.
I strolled through the school and finally found myself at the volleyball pitch where Jasper and his teammates used to practice as other students cheered them. I spotted him from a distance and it was like he did spot me too since he smiled at me and began running towards me.
"Hey, Gina." He spoke cheerfully as soon as he reached me. He seemed pretty happy to see me whereas I was still putting on a sad face.
"I didn't know you were coming to school yet. You know you..."That I got shot?" I said cutting him off
"I was gonna say that you are not taking the exams." He responded
"We need to talk," I said
"That sounds serious. Is everything okay?" He asked sounding concerned and a little worried.
"Why the hell did you tell Mr Thomas that I was shot?" I asked angrily.
"I...I... " Jasper got interrupted by his teammates who were constantly shouting his name. They were asking him back saying that they wanted to start the game.
"Gina, he asked why we missed school for days." He said
"You could have lied to him. There was no need to say I got shot."
"Come, Gina, why..." His teammates interrupted him again
"Can't you see that we are having a damn serious conversation?" I shouted at the boys. It was at that moment that I took a keen look at the people on the cheering squad. I spotted Raven and Helena sitting in the front and they were staring at us.
"Jasper Martinez, come on ,we don't have all the time to waste on you. We want to watch the game." Helena spoke
"Yeah, bring your ass here man," Kelly said
"I better go back to the field. I'll find time and come talk to you, Gina."
"No, we are going to talk now." I said firmly
"Jasper Martinez, I want you here now or else I am finding you a replacement. You have choose whether it's the girl or the game." Mr Kingsley spoke harshly. He was the campus sports coach and was always harsh.
