Chapter 17

# Author's pov

Alex Booth stopped his car at the old Man's house ( the man who had kidnapped Liam) He hopped down and walked around taking a stock of the surrounding. Once he couldn't see anything of notice on the outside he walked to door and knocked.

" Hello, Anyone home?" he asked and knocked again.l but received no response. He walked inside after a third knock. At the front door there was active CCTV cameras. He looked around and noticed more CCTV cameras in the house.

" What the hell?" Alex exclaimed at the deadly smell that was coming from one corner of the house. He covered his nose using his hand and continued walking  around and spiting on the floor.
There was also a lot of house flies making an annoying buzzing sound. 

" Hell no!" Alex exclaimed when his eyes met the old man's dead body on the floor. He took a step back and retched on the floor.

" Finn, you son of a bitch." Alex said and groaned angrily.

A laptop the was under a couch grasped Alex's attention. He reached for it and sat on the couch and then continued to open it. Alex tried a few passwords that he had guessed but none of them matched that of the laptop's owner.

A few minutes later, a police car with a ringing siren arrived at the old's man house.

" Hell no! What are they doing here now?" Alex asked and walked to the window. He looked through and saw the two policemen and detective Julia approaching the house.

"Shit." Alex exclaimed and walked back to the couch. He grabbed the laptop and went to hide in the old man's bedroom.
He could hear the cops talking inside the house.

Alex sat on the bed trying to crack the laptop's password. Since he was a computer expert it did not take him long crack.
He then removed a flash disc from his pocket and inserted it on the laptop and started to copy some files. Once they were all copied he removed his flash disc and  pressed the delete button.

" Hello, anyone here?" Detective Julia asked from outside the old man's bedroom.
Alex stood up and waited nervously.  Detective Julia pushed the door open and walked in.

" Detective, I am here." Alex said. Detective Julia pointed her gun at him.
"Hands where I can see them." Detective Julia said and Alex raised his hands above his head.

" Who are you and what the hell are you doing in a crime scene?" Detective asked.

"I am Alex Booth. I was just checking around. I knew that guy. I only wanted to find out who killed him."  Alex responded

" Give me that." Detective Julia said referring to the laptop Alex was placing on the bed.
"Mr Booth, do you know that you are tampering with evidence and that can get you arrested?"  Detective asked

" What are you going to do with that. I know it may contain information about what happened to him?"  Alex asked

" Use it against the killer. " The detective responded. 
"I'll walk away with my officers and you will get the hell away from this place before anyone else notices you were here. " the detective added and walked away.

"My lucky day. I guess." Alex said and chuckled. He later left the old man's house after the cops left with the old man's body

# Georgina's pov

Raven stopped at Liam's school parking lot and I stepped out. I had rang her to drop me there and she agreed.
I spotted Liam standing with some other school kids and shouted his name. He came running at me and hugged me.

"I am here to take you home." I said

"Where's is Finn?"

"He's at work. He asked me to come pick you and we will meet him at your house." I responded and led to sit in the back seat. I sat next him and Raven started the engine.
