Chapter 27

Finn's pov

I was at my house standing in front of a search board I had fixed on the wall to help me connect dots of places I could look for my mom. I had selected a few places including my grandma's place and some other relatives from my mom's side.
A few minutes later someone knocked on the door. It must be Georgina, I thought as I walked to open.

"Hey, Finn Peterson."  The detective said as soon as I opened the door. I had not thought of her showing up at my place.

" Hey, Detective why are you here?" I asked

" Came to see you." She responded

" Is there a problem? Did I do something wrong? Am I under arrest again?" I shot all questions that came in my mind.

" No, you didn't do anything and you are not under arrest. " Detective responded

" I know its Gordon again. That bastard has killed someone else, right?"

" I came to help you plan for your mom's search. Are you now going to let me in or not?" She asked

" Help me! " I exclaimed. Julia nodded.

"Okay,  come in then." I said and we both walked inside.

"Whoa! A crime board." Julia exclaimed looking at my search board

"I wouldn't call it a crime board. I am looking for my lost mom not a criminal." Finn said
"So, it's a search board. " I added

" Don't forget she is a criminal of eleven years ago." Julia said

"Are you here to help me find my mom or you are here to help yourself get my mom so you can  arrest her?" Finn asked

" Of course, I am here to help you find your mom. I need her to help us stop the bad guys." Julia responded

"I hope I can trust you." Finn said and focused on the board. Julia walked close to him and then placed her hands on Finn's shoulders.

" You can trust me fully. I got your back, Finn." Julia said caressing Finn's shoulders gently. Finn turned to her and stared at her face.

" Thank you." Finn said

" You are welcome." Julia said

" Can we get back to the search now?" Finn asked and Julia nodded then both turned to the wall. Julia removed her hand from Finn's shoulder.

# Georgina's pov

Later that evening, I went to Finn's place. We had not talked since he left my place and I was worried that he might think I was mad at him.
"I  stopped my car outside his house and knocked on his door.

" Hey, Liam come in." Finn shouted from inside. I knocked the door again.

"Hey, buddy, I said you can come in." Finn said and opened the door.

"Ooh, Georgina!" Finn exclaimed. He was looking surprised to see me. 
"I thought it was Liam." Finn added
"What are you doing here?" Finn asked

"I came to see you, my boyfriend." I responded

"Okay, come in then ." Finn said and let me inside.

"Hey, Miss Davis it been long since I saw you." Detective  Julia's words sprang into my ears. I stared at her as an instant anger started to grow inside me.
"What the hell is she doing here?" I asked myself. I was already feeling threatened. Detective Julia was not only a smart detective but also a well laid chic with a voluptuous body that any man would ask for.

"Hello, Detective Julia." I finally responded and then turned to Finn and gave him a questioning glare. I needed an explanation as to what a female Detective was doing in his house.
