I stood outside Alex's apartment for a few minutes trying to figure out my speech. It had been days since I last saw him and I wasn't sure if he was still mad at me for lashing out at him about Liam. I finally decided to let go of my fears and knocked. I waited nervously and when he took long to open, I knocked again and this time he opened the door immediately.
I would have thrown myself into him but since he was wearing a bathing robe, I didn't.

"Hey;" I spoke nervously

"Hey;" Alex said

"I came because we need to talk , Alex." I said and walked inside. Alex followed me and grasped my hand.

"It's not a good time, Finn. You should go."

"No, we have to do this. It has been way too long since we talked. I miss you , Alex. I am sorry that I lashed out at you about Liam. I know you didn't get him in trouble. I should have been grateful to you because you are my best friend and you would never do anything to hurt me. You are ... "I stopped talking when Isabella walked from upstairs. She was also wearing a bathing robe.

"Babe, what's taking you so long. I am ready for another round." Isabella spoke while walking down the stairs.
"Babe." She called again.

"Isa." Alex called her name and when she raised her brows she caught a glimpse of me and immediately stopped walking.

"Ooh, Finn Peterson!" She exclaimed

"I guess I should get going." I said and began walking then stopped when Alex called my name. I turned to him and said; "This is betrayal now." I then walked away.

Now that my attempt to apologize to Alex had just failed like it had with Georgina, I decided to go back to my house where at least I had Liam and Shelby. They were the only people I knew who were not mad at me.
Once I got home, I found Liam sitting on the couch playing with his tablet. I sat next to him.

"Did you apologize to Alex?" Liam shot a question at me. I hesitated to respond wondering what I should tell him. Should I lie to him or tell him the truth? I settled for the lie since it was way better than the truth.

"Yes, I did. We are good now." I responded and Liam happily hugged me.

"Thanks, Finn." He said

"You should go get some sleep now. Tomorrow I'll be taking you back to school." I said and he nodded his head to agree.
"Where's Shelby?" I asked

"In that room you said it has important stuff that I didn't need to worry about." Liam responded
"Good night, Finn." He added and walked away

I hurriedly walked to my mom's room. The room that I had kept private from Liam.
Before walking in , I knocked gently on the door and Shelby assured me that I could walk in. I walked in and found Shelby sitting down on the floor with a photo album that was my mom's.

"Liam said you were here. Are you okay?" I asked after noticing she was looking pale.

"Yeah, it's just that this picture of my dad reminded me of him. " Shelby responded and this time fetched my attention. I walked closer to her.

"Can I see him?" I asked and she handed me the picture.
I stared on the picture and I could not believe my eyes. On the picture was my mom with Nathaniel, the man that had kidnapped Liam first. The man that Gordon killed and framed me for his murder was the man Shelby said was her dad.

"Is this your dad?" I asked sounding full of doubts.

"Yes, his name was Nathaniel. He was amazing. I sometimes don't believe he's gone. " Shelby responded
"You know he died in this town. They said he killed himself but it didn't feel like him. He wasn't that type of a person. If you had met him you would be saying the same." She added and this time I found myself doubting her. I had met Nathaniel and he wasn't the angel that Shelby was describing.
He kidnapped Liam and took our blood and he shot me. To me he was a monster.
