Chapter Sixteen
Arielle's POV
I looked between Teagan and Tracy who were surprisingly seated together side by side as they discussed something. It got me curious since I wasn't part of their conversation.
It was weird. Definitely something weird was going on between them. What were they plotting this time? Does this have anything to do with me? I hope not.
I dipped my head down and stuffed the meatball into my mouth, feeling holes burning through my skull. I looked up to be met with a familiar pair of eyes with hope lit in them.
It was as though he was trying to catch my attention. He was messing with my mind again. I can't let him do that.
I swallowed my saliva and looked at Teagan and Tracy who were in the middle of a conversation. Speaking about ignoring me, I had been trying to mull over who had sent me home when I was fast asleep at the theatre yesterday.
Yeah, I slept while watching my favorite idols. I couldn't believe it, I inwardly groaned.
The last two on my list were Teagan and Tracy since they couldn't carry someone like me. Could it be dad? He often does that even though I was a big girl.
"Hello from the other side." Teagan sang as she waved her hands in front of my face. I wiped my greasy lips with a napkin and looked at her with a raised brow. "Hm?"
She looked towards her sister and grinned broadly at me. "We are having a meeting at my bedroom after breakfast." She replied, winking at me as her eyes flickered over to her brother for a bit before resting on Tracy as they giggled over something that I don't quite understand.
I nodded at the words, 'meeting'. Wait, since when did we have meetings? What were they hiding about that we had to meet at Teagan's bedroom?
I guess that was for me to find out.

I walked through the door and found Teagan and Tracy already in the room. Teagan was busy throwing clothes onto her messy bed while Tracy was hovering over something on her sister's dresser.
She punched her fists in the air when she giggled over her recent discovery. "I found it, sis." She said, looking towards her busy sister before her eyes landed on mine.
Her eyes widened as her lips twitched into a silly grin. "Arielle bear." She giggled over the silly nickname, waving me in to enter the room.
I walked over to where she was and peered into the box that had a range of some funny-looking wrappings in it. "What's this?" I quirked an eyebrow as I lifted one from the box and examined it properly.
I noticed her jaws dropped to the ground as she stared at me. "How can you not know such stuffs, Arielle bear?" Teagan looked up from what she was doing and looked at me in disbelief.
Was I supposed to know what it is?
I felt my eyes switching between the sisters in front of me and flushed in embarrassment. "Oops?" I muttered under my breath with a light chuckle to cover up my embarrassment.
"This," Tracy paused, picking up the one in my hand as she waved it in front of my face. "is what they call a facial masks and girls like us put it over our face to look good." She explained with a wink while Teagan chuckled at her words.
"But I still don't get it. Why do you need the facial masks for?" Knowing that I probably looked like a fool in front of them right now, I shrugged it off as if it was nothing. I was desperate to know what they were plotting this time.
They exchanged knowing looks before looking at me with a beam. "We are having a sleepover in my room today. This is a good time to pamper ourselves and look good."
I gasped at her words. She can't be serious.
"Can I reject the invitation? I think I should better get going." I mumbled, looking around in panic. I was so not going to like this.
I turned on my heels, about to leave when my arms were linked as the sisters looked at me with mischief evident in their eyes. Oh no, I was in deep trouble this time.
No backing out this time.
I was dragged along with them as they sat me down on the bed. "Sit down here and be a good girl, Arielle bear. We will get ready for the sleepover in the meantime." Teagan instructed, pointing a finger at me as a sign of no fooling around.
I huffed, folding my arms. I laid down on her soft, plushy bed and covered my head in my hands as I groaned. I was certainly not going to like this.
Ugh, why did I even make friends with them in the first place? The sisters could be so annoying when they worked together as a pair. I didn't see that coming.
I felt the whole day went by in a flash as I was now laid on the bed with Teagan and Tracy by my sides, staring at the pink ceiling. I felt the mask twitching against my skin as I felt discomfort from the stupid facial mask.
Yeah, I clearly hated these stupid stuffs. Makeup was totally not for me. Give me a break.
My fingers reached out to the edge of my mask as I pressed them down for the umpteen times ever since it had been applied onto my face.
"Oh god, Arielle. Could you stop fidgeting for once?" Teagan groaned in frustration. I stared at her, pulling away the mask from my face as I felt my nose twitch at the shudder.
That's why such stuffs were not meant for me. I don't like the uncomfortable feeling.
"Oh please, give me a break and stop torturing me. I really dislike such stuffs." I pouted, crushing the mask into a ball and aimed at the wastepaper basket beside the door.
When it failed terribly, I groaned as laughter filled the room. I shook my head, picking up the used mask and threw it in. Before long, I felt a soft hit on my bum as I turned around to see them clutching a pillow each.
"Hey, that wasn't fair." I reasoned with them, running past Tracy as I grabbed a pillow and began to hit it against theirs. Soon, it became a full blast pillow fight as we fought against each other.
Exhaustion took over as we laid down on the large mattress on the floor, our pillows fixed together in a triangle shape. I wiggled my toes, resting my wrist against my forehead as I stared at the ceiling mindlessly.
My eyelids were starting to fall as I stifled a yawn. "Goodnight." Teagan said, turning off the lights as she joined us. Before I could even respond, my eyelids dropped heavily as I felt myself drifting off to a deep sleep.
