Chapter Forty-Nine
Arielle's POV
I was awaken by a gush of strong wind as Tristan jumped out of the bed protectively, eyeing the surroundings warily. The door to the balcony flew opened as it made me shiver in fright.
"Stay here." He told me with a stern look, picking up his pants as he put it on. He walked towards the balcony silently and looked down at the first floor.
"What happened, Tristan?" I asked, still recovering from shock at the gust of wind which somehow gave me a bad vibes. It was as though I could sense someone was here.
He quickly closed the doors and locked it securely, before walking over to me as he picked up his shirt. "The entrance of the pack house is blocked by cars which must have crashed along with the strong wind. I need to check on the situation."
He quickly rushed out of the room, leaving me alone as I grabbed onto the duvets tightly. How could there be cars blocking the entrance?
Something is wrong.
The door was forcefully pushed open as Fiona entered the room hurriedly. Her frown turned into a smirk almost instantly when she noticed me naked on the bed.
"Oh, someone finally got laid." She teased, wagging her brow suggestively as she took in a whiff. "Hmm.. even your scent changed. That is a plus point." She commented, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Back to the point of you barging into my room, Fiona. What is going on?"
"If it's not for the grave situation right now, I would have grilled you for answers on what happened last night." She giggled before her face turning solemn almost instantly.
"The pack has been attacked by an unknown force, likely to be another one of us who possesses powers in this world."
I gasped, momentarily linking it back to what I have been wanting to ask her about. "This is what I have been trying to ask you ever since I have gotten the instincts that someone possesses something similar to my powers. If mine is fire, whoever it is must be wind since the culprit was able to make cars crash and block the entrance."
"So, you also felt it?" She asked, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Wait, so you knew?"
She bobbed her head up and down in response, "I was meditating in my room and felt the unknown force as well. From the looks of it, the owner of Wind has appeared."
"Great, another one to handle. Doesn't this means I might have to use my power?" I questioned, a frown instantly etched on my face as I was worried that my parents and my mate wouldn't be able to accept this fact.
"If there's a need, you have to use your powers. The pack is in danger right now."
She is right, despite the consequences that came along with this power of mine, I had to use it when necessary in order to save the pack.
"Alright, I have decided." She snapped her head up with a look of determination spread across her face. I stared at her with a raised brow, "Decided what?"
"We are going to find the culprit who did this and bring Wind down!" She stood on the bed like a confident leader, making me laugh out loud as she tried to hold herself back from laughing along as well.
"But before we do that," She paused, clearing her throat as though she was holding a mic, looking down at me with a huge suggestive smirk. "I think someone needs a bath after something happened last night."
"Fiona!" I screamed, my cheeks flaming like fire as she quickly jumped off the bed and rushed out of the room in a hurry. I shook my head, chuckling at her.
What a great friend indeed.

The moment we stepped out of the pack house, it was pure chaos. A crowd has gathered as some of them tried to move the cars out of the way.
I noticed Tristan nowhere to be found, assuming he must be inside the office with my dad to discuss about this matter.
My eyes shot up to look at the sky and found the wind blowing in a direction, my instincts telling me to follow it. I looked towards the left and exchanged looks with Fiona who seems to know what I was thinking.
"Let's go, it's the signal coming from Wind." She pointed out, pulling me along with her as we exited the house from the back door, making sure no one was watching us.
As we fell into normal pace right next to each other, I parted my lips and asked, "How did you know?"
"Usually the wind is supposed to blow in the opposite direction, but the wind today is blowing strongly in this direction. After making a mess in our lands, Wind must be trying to lure us out."
"How did you know it is usually blown in the opposite direction? How sure are you that Wind wants to lure us out?" I began to bombard her a lot of questions, feeling uneasy.
"As you know, I'm trying to avoid bumping into Lance. So, most of the time, I find myself outside in the forests. I will take note of anything regarding to nature and the direction of the wind in particular ever since I sensed the unknown force. Today is definitely different and I have a strong feeling that Wind is here." She muttered the last sentence in a low voice, her eyes looking around the surroundings as she was on alert.
"Hopefully whoever it is isn't a lunatic, I don't want to get killed on this suicidal mission." I grumbled, not liking the fact that this mysterious Wind had deliberately lured us out.
What if Wind turns out to be Dion's lackey?
Fiona suddenly came to a stop while I felt myself knocking against her back. "Gosh, why didn't you tell me you were stopping?" I groaned out loud as I rubbed my nose.
"Oh please, you were too absorbed in your own thoughts to see that I have stopped." She chuckled, sticking out her tongue childishly while I rolled my eyes in response.
Out of the blue, a strong wind hit us as we felt ourselves pushed by an unknown force. The strong wind had caused us to slam against the tree as we yelled in pain.
"Ugh." I groaned, rubbing my back as I looked up to see a man stepping out of nowhere. On the palm of his hand was a small tornado created as both Fiona and I stiffened at the presence.
It can't be, why is it him?
A/N _ Any guesses who Wind is?
