Chapter Twenty-Nine

Arielle's POV

With clenched fists, I pushed past the door and glared at the so-called bully who used to bully my mom when they were in high school.

It turns out to be the Beta, Lance.

"Babe, calm down." Tristan's voice steered my attention towards him. I pointed at his Beta and snarled in rage, "He used to bully my mom and you're asking me to calm down right now?"

"Please simmer down, Luna. Don't blame the Alpha because of me." He said, raising his hands up apologetically.

In a fit of anger, I swung my arm out and punched him. "You motherf*cking a**hole." I spat in anger, feeling anger coursing through my veins.

I wanted to beat the crap out of him for what he had done, but I was stopped by Tristan.

"Calm down, babe." He whispered in my ears while I struggled against him. "Back off." I snarled, pushing him away as I rushed out of the office.

"I need a run, Nat." I spoke to my wolf, feeling my bones cracking as I shifted into my wolf. I let out a howl with a mix of anger and disappointment, knowing that my parents would be able to hear my howls as well.

But, I could care any less at this moment. I just wanted a run.

My wolf shifted, her brown fur coating her body. She was also larger as compared to average she-wolves since I have Alpha blood flowing in my veins.

When I was enraged, I always needed a run to calm myself down. Even though I have to openly interact with my wolf each time which I found pretty annoying since our bond would be stronger, I could care any less when it was for a run.

Now, I just want to cool my shit down before I make any reckless move. That motherf*cking a**hole will not be able to live a day peacefully as long as I was around.

My paws touched the ground, gently thumping on the surface. Slowly, I ran on full speed as Nat and I gave our best.

Jumping over debris, circling past trees, we continued running on the same speed. It was until when we couldn't run anymore did we stop by a waterfall.

This was the waterfall where Teagan led me into her trap and it was also where Tristan saved my life. Jumping into the water, I shifted back to my human form and resurfaced.

I watched as the moonlight shone brightly, the water shimmering from the reflection.

I tsked, wondering why that idiot hadn't come after me. That stupid idiot. He would rather side with his Beta than stand up for me.

Growling in anger, my fists made contact with the water as I screamed.

The bushes rustled while I snapped my head up to see three figures approaching. Scents coming from rogues drifted up to my nostrils as I tensed.

How did the rogues even enter the pack? What has that motherf*cking a**hole been doing?

Growling, I shifted to my wolf and leaped out of the water. I let Nat take over as she snarled at the three uninvited guests. "Sorry, Luna. But, you are going down." One of them with grease on his teeth mocked, shifting into his wolf as he attacked her.

Nat leaped to her right, the wolf leaping straight into the water where the strong current was. Ignoring his struggles, the remaining wolves charged after Nat. She lowered her hind leg and lashed the first wolf with her tail.

The second wolf simply growled in anger, launching at her as he clawed her arm. Nat yelped and kicked him as he fell back. She jogged towards him and knocked her head with his, watching as the last wolf passed out.

She turned back to see the cocky wolf struggling in the strong current while she rolled her eyes in response.

"Come on, shift back." I said, while she did as she was told and shifted back to human form. I looked around the surroundings and found a strong vine.

Attaching the vine to the nearest tree, I winced slightly at the pain on my arm. Fresh blood oozed out from my wound as I sighed, knowing that my wolf will heal it.

Ignoring the pain, I threw the vine in his direction. "Catch it and climb up on your own." I shouted, watching as he shifted back to his human form and climbed up with all of his strength.

When I had made sure that he has reached the safer area, I heaved a sigh in relief and walked off.

More blood oozed out from my arm as I winced at the pain. With trembling legs, I figured that I was unable to continue to walk anymore.

Instead, I followed the direction where I first found the cave and entered it.

Seems like I would just have to spend the night here before I head back to the pack house when my arm was healed.

Laying the heaps of grasses on the ground, I sat on it and shifted into my wolf form. I laid on top of the soft grasses and slowly drifted off to sleep as darkness took over.
