Chapter Twenty
Arielle's POV
Four years later...
Water rushed out of the water hose as I watered the flowers grown in my own garden bed. I had been growing flowers all over the grass patch that looked like dogs had sh*t on it before.
But that was four years ago when I came back from the hell hole. Never will I ever visit that pack again, not when that horrible jerk, Tristan was reigning the pack.
Maybe he had already found his mate and crowned her as the Luna? Who knows what could happen after a short span of four years? Perhaps if I found my mate soon, I wouldn't be wasting so much time thinking of Tristan.
"Get over that piece of jerk, Arielle. We will find our mate soon." Nat groaned, waggling her wolf tail for the hundredth time at my thoughts.
"Roses are red, violets are blue, my heart is full of love for you." Those words earned an eye roll from me as I groaned aloud. This was the fifth time I have been listening to this sentence all over again like a broken recorder.
"Roses are red, violets are blue. I have five fingers, the middle is for you." I retorted bluntly, not bothering about his stupid confession which has been going on for two freaking years.
Even after two years of rejecting him, he hasn't gave me up. I knew both of us weren't mates since I couldn't find the sort of attraction that I had for that d*ckhead four years ago.
"Oh come on, my little mermaid. Don't be so cold towards me, you're breaking my fragile heart."
Curling my fist at the stupid nickname he had given me, I whipped my head towards him with a glare. "For the love of moon goddess, stop calling me 'the little mermaid'. For your information, her name is Ariel, and not Arielle. Pester me with your lame confession one more time and I swear I will kick your ass. Now f*ck off before I make you, Romeo."
His face paled for a second before shooting me a cheeky grin. "Come on, my little mermaid. Don't be so-" He hadn't had a chance to finish his words as I positioned my water hose at him, spraying water all over his face.
He yelped in pain at the contact and hurriedly scurried off like the good boy he would always be.
"Tsk... tsk... At this rate, I wonder how you would even find a boyfriend." My brother mocked, laughing at me. "Stop laughing, you dumbsh*t. I don't even like him." I grunted in frustration, deliberately spraying the water at his newly purchased shoes.
"Holy sh*t, Arielle. You're going to get it from me one day." He growled teasingly, baring his teeth to scare me like how he used to, in the past. "Try me, Alpha Dimitri." I stuck out my tongue at him before staring blankly at the sight ahead of me.
A girl, probably in her early twenties with heavy bust and curvy figure framed by her tight dress, walked towards us. Her green orbs were planted firmly on my brother while I chuckled at the sight.
"Seems like someone is in for a treat tonight." My words earned a raised brow as I continued, "I should take my leave before I see things that I shouldn't see, brother. Adios! (goodbye in Spanish)" I stated the obvious before turning off the water hose as I ran for my dear life out of the front yard.
"You are so hot today, baby." I covered my ears at the start of my brother's cheesy words and managed to get past the patrol wolves on duty.
Yikes, my brother sure is the god when it comes to sex. I hope he finds a mate who can control his urgent needs soon. I prayed hard that I won't be met with the sight of women entering and exiting our mansion again.
Oh god, please save my poor eyes.

After classes ended, I walked the rest of the way back home. As I passed by my garden bed, I noticed a blue bell flower which stood out from the rest of the blue bell flowers.
Pushing aside the wood that temporarily blocked the sunlight from reaching the blue bell, I picked up the water hose and gently sprayed water over it.
"I am so glad that you are here, my little mermaid." I narrowed my eyes at my blue bell flower and ignored his presence. What the heck? After teaching him a lesson yesterday, he was back to the same old him with that stupid nickname again.
If only I had some sort of powers to shut his mouth, I would have done it ages ago.
"My little mermaid." He repeated in a sing-sang voice, skipping his way towards me with a red rose. Red roses was one of my least favorite flowers on Earth.
Yeah, I hated red roses since it reminded me of love. A love that I might not get in my entire life, until I found my destined mate. Oh gosh, why do I keep thinking about that d*ckhead?
"What do you want?" I scowled, not looking up as I turned off the water hose. He handed me the red rose in his hands, grinning at me. "This is for you, love." He said, winking at me.
"Red rose?" I raised a brow, staring into his shining orbs. He nodded, smiling at me warmly. "Game over." I smirked in triumphant, rolling my eyes before heading towards the front gate.
The moment I had reached the house, my ears pricked up as I heard audible voices coming from the hallway. Tip-toeing my way to the stairs, I plastered my back against the wall and kept silent.
"Mom, I have invited Alpha Tristan and his family to our pack for a week. Do you think you can prepare a sumptuous dinner to welcome them?" I literally deadpanned at his words.
What the f*ck? Why did my brother even invited that d*ckhead?
"Oh sure, of course I will. I am sure Arielle would be very happy to meet Tristan again." Yeah right, totally happy. I rolled my eyes at her words. Like as if I will.
This was going to be the worst week of my life. I was supposed to be enjoying my spring break, instead I had to see that d*ckhead's face for one whole week.
A/N _ Cheers to the start of Arielle's 18 year old journey! Comment about what you think of this current Arielle. Hopefully it's better than her immature self 4 years ago XD
