Chapter Fifty-One
Arielle's POV
By the time we reached the pack, it had turned into a huge mess. Wolves were attacking each other, I managed to recognise my dad's wolf as he tackled a brown wolf.
It was big and held an aura of an Alpha. From the looks of it, it must be Dion.
His army flooded the place as our men tried to fight back in the sudden attack. My eyes searched around frantically as I realised Tristan was nowhere to be seen.
A bunch of wolves were headed in our way upon noticing us, their fangs bared as a sign of attack. I looked towards Fiona who had a cheeky smile on her face.
"Time to wipe them out." I agreed, getting into a fighting stance as I stood next to Fiona. A wolf lunged at me while I quickly shifted and swept my tail, sending him to the nearby tree.
Another few came charging towards me as I dodged their attacks swiftly and bit one of them in his hind leg. I felt a burning sensation on my hind leg as well as I looked behind and swept him away with my tail.
The injured wolf growled loudly and try to pounce on me again but I knocked him off with my head, sending him colliding against the third wolf as they rolled away.
I looked towards Fiona to see her holding up well, she was attacking them with her powers. She created shields after shields as they came charging towards her like fools.
She was having fun looking at their confused faces as one by one, they were slowly knocked out by the wall-like shields. Another one came from behind her as I barked at her to warn her, quickly running towards her as he managed to get on top of her.
Another grey-coated wolf appeared as he knocked the wolf off her body and growled at him, quickly tearing him into pieces. I quickly recognised him as Lance's wolf.
He nudged Fiona who held fear in her eyes but the emotions quickly disappeared as she hugged his wolf tightly after recognising him. I watched as they connected as mates for the first time after so long.
Fiona had always been a strong girl, too afraid to admit that Lance has become her weakness. I'm sincerely hoping she will settle down here and live with Lance as mates.
She deserves to be loved.
Out of nowhere, an army appeared as they shifted into wolves and began attacking Dion's army. He seemed enraged as he engaged in a fierce fight with my dad.
My dad's energy was quickly depleting as Dion attacked him vigorously, striking him with a huge blow as my dad fell to the ground. He laid there lifelessly as he quickly shifted back.
Dion stood on top of him with triumph as he gloated over my dad's fall.
Anger boiled in me as I shifted back, ignoring the burning sensation on my injured leg as I ran towards their direction. Wolves who came charging towards me were shot by my fire balls.
I was too enraged to bother about their burning body as they screamed in pain which managed to distract Dion who look beyond shocked to see me.
"Get off my dad." I screamed in rage, sending fire balls towards him as he retreated back with fear. Despite him cowering back in fear, I held no mercy.
My veins were becoming visible as I forced strong flames circling around him. Fears were visible in his eyes as he begged me not to kill him.
"Please don't kill me." The same sentences repeated as he trembled in fear.
Clenching my fists tightly, I glared at him while taking in a deep breath. He deserved to die, but not in my hands. I can't let my anger blind me again by killing more people with my powers.
Instead, I smirked, "Move an inch and you will be burn by the flames. Surrender now, Dion."
"Yes, yes, anything to stay alive!" He replied cowardly, hastily mind-linking his army to stop as they knelt onto the ground, one by one. Tristan's army had them surrounded in a minute and began to follow the protocol, locking them up in the dungeons.
I quickly ran towards my dad, holding onto him tightly as he coughed out blood.
"Dad.." Tears ran down my cheeks as he forced himself to smile, holding onto my cheeks tenderly. "Look at how strong you are now, my beautiful girl.."
"Hush, dad. Don't exert too much energy, the medics will be here soon." I smiled, tears rushing down my cheeks. "I'm sorry, my baby girl.. I'm afraid I have to leave you and your mom behind, I can't hold much any longer."
His breathing became labored as though something was blocking him from breathing. "Dad, please don't leave me." I cried aloud, holding onto him as he looked up at the sky with a sad smile on his face.
"At least, I know your mate will take good care of you. As for your mom.. I'm going to miss her dearly..." He wheezed out, his breathing came to a stop, his hand slowly dropping to the ground.
It all happened in a millisecond, too fast that I was in a complete loss.
"Dad!" I mourned over the loss of my dad as more tears rushed down my cheeks, dripping onto the ground as the soil became wet. Pain and sadness hit me hard as I felt helpless.
How did things turned this way?
A chuckle came from a distance away as I looked up to see Dion gloating over our miseries. Laying my dad's lifeless body on the ground, I stood up with my fists clenched.
"You bastard! You deserve to die for what you have done!" I trudged my way towards him, my palms creating flames. It grew even bigger as I approached him, my sanity all lost.
I will have him regret that he has ever been born into this world.
A shield suddenly appeared in front of me as it blocked my path to get my hands on that rascal. "Fiona, don't stop me." I demanded, feeling pissed and worked up at the moment.
Nothing can stop me now.
