For anoakoanobakla and momoriingg074 since y'all asked for an update 😘

Park Jihyo may have been short in stature, but that didn't stop her from having a commanding presence; the woman was known for having an air of authority about her. She called upon that skill now and shouted loud and clear:

"Alright everybody shut up and listen!"

The chaotic scene ground to a halt as six pairs of eyes looked at Jihyo. Sana and Momo dropped the tangled strand of Christmas lights they'd been trying (failing) to unravel. Chaeyoung and Dahyun stopped singing their bizarre rendition of Jingle Bells while Mina and Tzuyu hadn't really been making any noise to begin with so they simply turned their attention to their unnie.

"Thanks for coming. I called you guys over here early for a reason, and that reason is 'Operation 2yeon'," Jihyo said dramatically.

"Huh? What does that mean?" Momo asked blankly.

"She's trying to set up Jeongyeon and Nayeon unnie again," Sana patiently explained.

"Oh no, not again," Dahyun groaned. "Unnie, your plans always end in disaster!"

"That's because you all keep screwing up my plans!" Jihyo complained. "Chaeyoung doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut."

"Hey!"

Jihyo pointed at Sana. "You tripped and almost sent Jeongyeon to the hospital last time."

"It's not my fault I didn't see that stool! And Jeongyeon was just fine," Sana told her.

"You made her fall and smash her head into a brick wall Sana. She was lucky she didn't need stitches."

"Well, at least I didn't eat all the food that you'd prepared for that surprise picnic date," Sana said, looking pointedly at Momo.

"I was hungry. Sue me," Momo shrugged.

"Look, my point is, that as long as you all do as I say, we can finally get those two lovebirds together," Jihyo said. "So please, just don't screw it up this time okay?"

"So what's the plan this time? Spike some eggnog then lock them in a closet?" Dahyun snickered.

Dahyun was too busy laughing at her idea to realize Jihyo was slowly creeping up behind her. Chaeyoung tried to signal her friend to look out, but she didn't notice. Dahyun jumped when Jihyo slung an arm around her shoulders.

"Kim Dahyun, since you like running your mouth so much, you're going to be my special assistant," Jihyo said with an evil smile.

"U-unnie I was just joking," Dahyun laughed nervously.

"Too late kid, you're stuck with me." Jihyo pointed to Tzuyu. "Tzu, I want you to hang the mistletoe over the door to the kitchen. Make sure it's nice."

"Sure thing unnie."

"I'll help her," Mina volunteered. The pair got to work right away.

"Chaeyoung, your job is get those two under it no matter what. I don't care if you have to drag them over there, just make it happen."

"You can count on me Jihyo unnie," Chaeyoung said confidently. "Nayeon and Jeongyeon unnie can't resist me."

"Sana, the second they're under the mistletoe, tell them they have to kiss," Jihyo instructed. "Make a big deal about it being a Christmas tradition and that it's bad luck or something to not do it."

Sana grinned. "It'll be a piece of cake. Nayeon unnie won't be able to help herself."

"What about me?" Momo asked.

"Try not to eat all the food before they get here. We don't need another picnic incident on our hands." Jihyo shook her head from the flashbacks she got from that disaster. "Just sit there and look pretty."

Momo pouted and looked forlornly at the boxes of fried chicken and pizza on the table. What was the point of being pretty if she couldn't eat delicious food?

"Come on Dahyunie, you get to help me untangle that ball of lights Sana and Momo were working on," Jihyo said.

"Please not that unnie! Everyone knows that's the worst job at Christmas time," Dahyun begged.

"You should've thought about that sooner." Jihyo dragged a reluctant Dahyun with her to the table so they could get the lights untangled and hung.

Unbeknownst to the group, they had a pair of onlookers secretly watching them from the hallway, trying their best to not give themselves away with their laughter.

"Should we tell them?" Nayeon asked Jeongyeon.

"No way. If we keep this up, just think about the elaborate date Jihyo will plan for us for Valentine's Day," Jeongyeon said. She chuckled when Jihyo started griping about the lights.

"You know Jihyo is going to kill you when she finds out we've been dating this whole time right?"

"It's fine, I've got you to protect me."

Nayeon shook her head. "Yeah, I don't think so. You're on your own."

"Really Nabongs? You're not even gonna defend me? What kind of girlfriend are you?" Jeongyeon pouted.

"A smart one you pabo. I'm not going to get killed by Jihyo. This was all your idea anyway." Nayeon smirked and gave Jeongyeon a kiss on the cheek. "Now come on, let's go before Momo eats all the food again. I just saw her sneak a piece of chicken when Jihyo wasn't looking."

"Tch. You think you can just kiss your way out of every argument don't you?" Jeongyeon grumbled. Nayeon laughed because she totally could. The tactic hadn't failed her yet.

"Merry Christmas everyone!" she yelled as they entered the room.

"Merry Christmas unnie!"

Chaeyoung rushed to hug them both then started pulling them towards the mistletoe Tzuyu and Mina had managed to hang. Nayeon and Jeongyeon exchanged a knowing look. Jeongyeon winked at her girlfriend then began her own plan: "Operation Mess With Park Jihyo."

This was going to be their best Christmas party yet.

A/N: Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all! Whether you're celebrating or not, I hope you have a fantastic rest of 2023. Let's meet again in the new year 💚
