As Long As We're Together, Anything Is Possible

I was gonna wait to post this but we hit 17k already 🫶🏻

"Are you sure about this? Once we release the statement, there's no going back."

"We understand PD-nim. We're ready for this."

JYP nodded in understanding. "Alright then. I want you both to know that you have my support one hundred percent. No matter what happens, you have me as well as the backing of the company. That's my promise to both of you."

"Thank you PD-nim. You have no idea how much it means to us to hear you say that."

JYP smiled fondly, looking from Nayeon to Jeongyeon as if seeing his own daughters in front of him. They may not have been his flesh and blood, but they were equally near and dear to his heart. These women, along with the rest of Twice, were so much more than artists in his company. They were his family.

And he would do anything for his family.

"Alright then. I'll have the company release the statement this afternoon as planned. I've doubled your security in the meantime. We'll just see how things go. Once the fuss has died down, I'll cut them back unless you feel it's necessary to keep them."

"Thank you PD-nim," Jeongyeon said. The young woman was clearly anxious about what would happen. She had a death grip on Nayeon's hand, and a line of sweat was forming on her brow.

"Jeongyeon-ah, everything will be alright. We may not be able to control how the public will react, but what matters is the people who love you will continue to love and support you," JYP reassured her. "Your members will be with you every step of the way. Your family as well as Nayeon's are on your side. They'll be sure to take care of you both." The kind hearted man gently patted her shoulder. "Even Once will be proud. They've been waiting for this moment for years have they not?" The man smiled good naturedly, poking fun at the long running rumors that had been floating around since Sixteen.

"But not every Once will be happy PD-nim," Jeongyeon said sadly. "I know some will be angry with us. They may even stop being Onces because of our decision."

"Maybe. But that is not your fault Jeongyeon-ah. Everyone is free to make their own choice. If they choose to stop being a Once, that's their decision. It has nothing to do with you."

"But it does! They wouldn't leave if—"

"Oh dear," JYP laughed. "Is this what it's like for you every day Nayeon-ah?"

"More or less PD-nim," Nayeon smiled softly. "You know she's a worrywart. It's been especially hard on her these last few weeks." Nayeon rubbed Jeongyeon's back soothingly.

"Well, I'm glad she's in good hands. I trust you to take care of our Jeongyeon well Nayeon-ah. Please look after her." The man bowed, surprising both women with his sudden action.

"I will PD-nim. I will take care of her for the rest of my life," Nayeon vowed as she bowed to him in return.

"I'm glad to hear it." JYP looked at Jeongyeon. "And I expect you to continue taking care of our Nayeon just as you've always done Jeongyeon-ah. Show them that you're the only one worthy of that position."

Jeongyeon stood a little taller, feeling a sense of pride at his words. "I will PD-nim. I'll make sure everyone knows it." She too then bowed to the man who had been the start of it all. Without him, she wouldn't be standing here with the love of her life, ready to reveal to the world that they were a couple.

"As I expected." JYP smiled proudly. "Well then, I have to get to that meeting if we are going to let the world know that 2yeon is indeed real. I'll see you tomorrow."
