Nayeon and Jeongyeon had spent the first thirty minutes of being trapped ignoring one another. They had chosen opposite corners of the room to claim as their own and pretend the other woman wasn't there. It had been a long day and all that hard work was finally catching up to Nayeon. If she wasn't going to get out of here until morning, she might as well get some sleep.

Unfortunately for her, Jeongyeon decided that it was the perfect time to start banging around on the boxes within reach while she half sung, half hummed some song that sounded vaguely familiar.

"Can you please knock it off?" Nayeon glared at the other woman across the room. "I'm trying to sleep."

"I'm not stopping you," Jeongyeon said before resuming her drumming.

"Yes you are! I can't sleep when you're making all that racket!"

"Excuse you, but I'm clearly playing a perfect drum solo. It's not racket." Jeongyeon slammed her hand hard against a box of serving spoons, causing them to rattle loudly, before launching into the chorus of "I Smile" by her favorite band.

"오늘만큼은 I smile
아프더라도 I smile
너의 앞에선
아무렇지 않은
지내고 있는
반드시"

"Oh my good," Nayeon groaned. She covered her ears, but that didn't do anything to drown out the noise.

"Come on Im," Jeongyeon said, "don't hate on Day6. They're the best band out there."

"I don't hate them, they're one of my favorite bands. I just prefer when they're the ones singing the song, not you."

"Tch. You actually like Day6? I thought you'd be into all those girl groups with the cute concepts and songs about love and shit." Jeongyeon gave her a skeptical look, the kind that most guys gave her when they found out she liked bands like Day6 and The Rose. They thought they had to test her knowledge to see if she was a real fan or not, which was insulting.

"Yes, I like Day6. Is that a problem? Because last time I checked, there weren't any special requirements to be a fan of a certain band or group."

Jeongyeon held up her hands in surrender. "I just meant I thought you'd have different taste that's all. No reason to get all defensive."

"Whatever," Nayeon scoffed. They slipped back into an awkward silence before Jeongyeon spoke again.

"So, what's your favorite song? And before you ask, no, I Smile isn't my favorite. It just happened to get stuck in my head for some reason," Jeongyeon said.

"I know it's cliche but it's Congratulations. It's my comfort song," Nayeon said wistfully as her mind went back in time to when she'd first heard that song. She had just graduated high school and had the whole world waiting for her.

"It's a classic. You can't go wrong with that," Jeongyeon nodded in agreement.

"What about you then? What's your favorite?"

"Depends on my mood really. Some days it's Sweet Chaos and then the next it's I Need Somebody."

"Sweet Chaos seems appropriate," Nayeon remarked dryly.

"Because I'm sweet but you're just in denial about it?" Jeongyeon grinned.

"Pft. You, sweet? You know lying is bad right?"

"Come on Im, admit it. You like me just a little bit." Jeongyeon had the nerve to wink at her, and it made Nayeon want to fly across the room and smack her. "Plus I really am sweet. Just ask my sister. I treat that kid like a princess all the time."
