It wasn't some loud thud or someone moving that had woken Jungwon up, it had instead been the light streaming into the broom closet, from a window that neither of them had seen the night before.

As Jungwon slowly moved his head from the window he realized where he was. His head in Jiyeon's lap as she had leaned against the shelf beside her and fallen asleep as well, as one of her hands stayed buried in his hair and the other was intertwined with his own that laid on his stomach.

She looked so peaceful even if her neck hung in an uncomfortable way. It was more the way her eyes were softly closed and how her mouth was just slightly open. Despite the circumstances Jungwon couldn't help but smile softly at the sight.

Jungwon carefully pushed himself up to sit, letting Jiyeon's hand in his hair drop into her lap. Jungwon carefully positioned himself so that she could lay down in his lap to sleep a bit more comfortably, who knew how long she had been asleep.

Jungwon carefully placed Jiyeon's head in his lap and brushed her hair out of her face. For an unknown amount of time Jungwon would sit and run his hand through her hair, thinking about how ridiculously soft it actually was.

But still he couldn't suppress this feeling of guilt he felt whenever he looked down at her peaceful sleeping face. He knew because of what he had pulled her into there would last long between the times he would see her this relaxed. It just made him slowly realize how he had taken all their classes together for granted. All those classes where she would just sit and look out the window because she claimed the teacher didn't have anything important to say anyways.

He recalled how they had been made seatmates for the first time two years ago, and never really abandoned the other to sit with anyone else. They always took the table by the window at the back of the class. She always preferred that. During the summer days she would enjoy how the sunlight fell on her desk, and during the winter days she would look out at the snow falling with excitement overflowing her eyes. Even on rainy days she looked like she longed to go outside. Even now she must long to go outside.

He didn't really blame her, it would be the fewest people that enjoyed being locked up in some big castle where people were purposely searching for you to kill you. She must be horrified at least, and something told Jungwon that no matter how much they wanted things to just go back to normal when they got out of there, nothing would ever be the same again. Who knows? One of them, if not both, might as well just move far away to escape from the memories of the times in the castle.

Slowly Jiyeon's eyelashes fluttered and her eyes opened just a bit as she rubbed her eyes and scrunched up her nose. An awfully misplaced cute act from her. Jungwon couldn't help but smile down at her.

"Morning," Jiyeon muttered.

"Good morning sleepyhead," Jungwon muttered, making Jiyeon slowly sit up and rest against the wall Jungwon leaned up against as well.

"Huh... I didn't realize there was a window in here," Jiyeon muttered as she looked over at the window, where the sunlight came from, "looks like it's gonna be a nice sunny day... don't you think Wonie?" she looked at Jungwon before her eyes slowly widened, "Jungwon?"

"Hi," Jungwon let out a small laugh at her shocked expression.

"We have to get you away, the sunlight will burn you," Jiyeon immediately stood up and tried to block out the window that was at least two heads taller than her and double as wide.

"It won't," Jungwon shook his head, making Jiyeon look back at him in bewilderment, her arms stretched out over the window, making absolutely no difference for the light in the room.

"It... won't?" Jiyeon raised her eyebrows at him.

"I'll first be sensitive to light if the reversal isn't completed," he nodded at her, "it's first when I've changed completely I'll be sensitive to light."

"Oh..." Jiyeon slowly let her arms fall as she just looked out the window before turning to him with a small smile, "well... I guess we have to find the solution for this mess as fast as possible."

"Why?" Jungwon questioned in amusement.

"The faster we do that we can get out in the nice weather... right?" Jiyeon questioned making Jungwon hesitantly nod at her, "and I think today is the perfect ice cream weather and as far as I remember you promised to pay for ice cream the rest of the year."

"You're gonna make me poor," Jungwon sighed at her as she just let out a small giggle.

"Wasn't I gonna do that anyways? Do you have any idea how much money you spent on me even before asking me out on a date?" Jiyeon questioned him in amusement as he just sighed at the memory.

"Way too much," he admitted and she nodded at him, "but hey... I don't regret anything..."

"Yeah... I had that impression with how many things you've given or paid for me," Jiyeon nodded with a small frown on her face, "I guess this is my way of repaying you."

"I'll literally still end up in debt to you till the day we die when we're out of here," Jungwon let out a small laugh of realization, "I'll be in a never ending debt."

"Quit being so dramatic," Jiyeon waved him off, "I'm hungry, you most likely are too, and I think a good strategy is to look around in the day and rest at night."

"You make it sound like we'll be here for longer than today," Junwgon pointed out as he pushed himself up from the floor.

"Do you have any idea how big this castle is? Not to mention that we don't even know exactly what we're looking for," Jiyeon reminded him, "now check the hallway and we'll go on another adventure."

Jungwon simply smiled at her as he walked over to the door that he had locked the night before. He quickly unlocked it and looked out on the hallway.

Neither of the two realized that Jungwon had said 'when' they got out, not 'if' they got out.
