I smiled softly at Jungwon before just nodding at him. I let out a small sigh before turning to the stove once again and reaching out for the garlic juice. Jungwon kept a hand on my waist as he just silently stood beside me, watching as I lifted the lid up the garlic juice and immediately scrunched up my nose at the smell.

"Ji?" Jungwon murmured, making me hum in return to his small mutter, "I'm scared."

"Me too," I nodded in agreement.

Even though my hands were trembling I carefully poured the garlic juice up in the cauldron. I had nothing but my eyes to measure with, so it was only around one centimeter of the bottom that actually got covered in the garlic juice. Or at least my measurement of a centimeter.

Seeing the garlic juice laying at the bottom of the cauldron I let out a shaky breath. I knew what was to come next, and to be honest that was the thing I was most scared about. Especially after being told how much it should hurt. But it should be done.

"Wonie?" I muttered making Jungwon hum this time, "there's a minute till the blood should be added... you need to bite me now..."

"I don't think I can," Jungwon whispered, making me look at him. He just stood and stared at the cauldron with wide eyes before shaking his head, "I can't do that."

"You have to," I muttered, grabbing his hand that laid on my waist, giving his hand a small squeeze, "we don't have any future if we don't get out of here."

"We would be without fate," he muttered as he glanced over at me, "no fate."

"Exactly," I nodded at him, "you have to do it."

"Okay..." he nodded at me, "I'll... I'll do it."

"It's for your own sake," I reminded him and he just nodded at me.

"Causing harm to you for my own sake, how much I love it," he muttered, making me sigh at him, "keep holding onto my hand, okay? I know it's gonna hurt."

"It's fine," I assured and turned to look at him, "just get it over with."

Jungwon nodded before letting out a small huff of distress. He carefully turned my head with his free hand, making me look away from him. I immediately began running my thumb over the back of his hand, after feeling how his hand in mine had been shaking.

"How much does it say we need to use?" Jungwon questioned, making me sigh.

"It doesn't say... just... you know get some and spit it into the cauldron or whatever you can do to get it in there," I excused making him hum.

"Okay uhm... here goes," he muttered before leaning towards me.

However, he had first placed a soft kiss on my cheek as he placed his free hand on the side of my neck.

"I'm so sorry," he whispered, making me just give him a small nod and a squeeze in the hand I was holding.

I quietly closed my eyes tightly before feeling a sharp pain on my neck. The pain was indescribable, it was unlike any other I had ever experienced. For a moment my knees had buckled under me, making Jungwon let go of my hand and immediately wrap his arm around my waist. I wanted to pull away from him, but his hand on my neck prevented me from it.

It felt like I was about to faint, cry, scream, die, all at the same time. My mind became hazy and I had a hard time thinking straight. As the hand on the side of my neck disappeared I felt my head roll around, not being able to be held up.

"Ji... are you there?" Jungwon's voice immediately questioned, making me hum and force my eyes open before turning to the cauldron.

The yellow garlic juice had turned into a dark red mix. I blinked my eyes a few times before grabbing the big spoon that laid beside the stove. I quietly began stirring in the mix trying to count the minutes in my head.

However, there was one thing that made it hard to count. The fact that my neck kept having a growing cramp growing down throughout one half of my shoulder and arm. The pain was so distracting and just gave me a feeling of passing out any second.

"Are you okay?" Jungwon softly questioned, still having his arm around my waist, making me just nod at him, "I'm serious."

"I'm fine," I whispered, making him sigh.

"I'm sorry," he repeated once again, dabbing his thumb under my eyes a few times, "I knew it was going to hurt."

"It's fine," I assured as he continued to dab away under my eyes. I must've actually cried then.

"It really scared me when you began screaming," he stated making me look at him.

"I didn't," I tried to shake my head to no avail.

"You did," he nodded at me, "it sounded really painful... you were crying and screaming for me to stop."

I could've sworn I had stood completely still, except for when my knees had buckled. I don't recall having cried or screamed.

"Ah look at me... now I'm also crying," Jungwon sighed, making me look at him, carefully patting his cheeks where his tears streamed down, "I don't like knowing I caused you that much pain."

I quietly nodded as I felt a nauseous feeling take over me. I quietly stirred for some more time before pulling the cauldron off the stove.

"Con... consume or..." I trailed off as my head got dizzy and I felt like throwing up.

"I'll drink it," Jungwon quickly replied, finding a cup and pouring the mix up by himself, "bottoms up..."

Jungwon let out a small sigh as he watched me slide down the cabinets, breathing heavily. I had a hard time breathing as I felt the nausea wash over me time and time again. Meanwhile it felt like the pain in my neck only got worse and worse by the second.

"It'll be fine," Jungwon muttered and crouched down beside me, holding a hand to my neck where he had bitten, "I know you're bleeding a lot, and it hurts and you feel sick... I promise I'll get you out of here."

I quietly nodded as he grabbed onto my hand and immediately placed his lips against the cup and emptied it in one go. His face contorted to a disgusted and painful expression before throwing the empty cup to the side.

He immediately leaned his head against the cupboard beside me, making gagging sounds and breathing heavily in between the gags. Before I had any time to react he had fallen to the side and into my lap as his eyes closed, his breathing immediately calming down, making it go completely silent in the room as his gags steadied and slowly stopped.
