Staring at Jungwon's curled up form on the floor I slowly crawled over to him and reached out for his shoulder.
"Jungwon-ah?" I carefully questioned making him immediately wave my hand away before I could touch his shoulder.
"Get away from me," he whimpered, making me immediately pull my hand back to myself, "get away..."
I slowly slid myself back over the floor and sat by the other wall of the room as I just watched Jungwon from a distance of three meters.
Jungwon sat and let out small screams and whimpers as he either pulled on his own hair, hit his own head or looked like he was trying to restrain himself from something. And all I could do was just sit and watch as he did all of this to himself. I was absolutely powerless.
"Ji..." Jungwon trailed off, making me hum in return, "I need... I need you to press your shirt closer to the wound."
"You need wh-" I started making him break me off.
"Please," he panted as he glanced over at me.
I quietly hummed before pressing myself up into a corner and pressing my left shoulder against the wall beside me, making a frown immediately grow on my face at the pain. But whatever I was doing it for, it was helping Jungwon, and that was the most important thing.
"You know... I know you want me to just be quiet and sit and watch right now... but..." I sighed as I began fiddling with my fingers and looking anywhere but him, "if you need any help, I'm sitting right here, and I don't like to see you suffering like this."
"Just be quiet," Jungwon hissed, making me quietly nod before pushing my back further back against the wall, biting in my hiss of pain.
I sat with my eyes closed as I just bit in the pain while I continued to press my shoulder harder and harder into the wall behind me, patiently waiting for Jungwon to figure out what was happening himself. I was just focusing on making no noises and pressing my shoulder up against the wall.
"Ji..." Jungwon muttered, making me quietly hum, not stopping what I was doing, "Ji... stop... you're hurting."
"So are you," I muttered in return before feeling a pair of arms wrap around my waist and pull me away from the wall, making my eyes immediately open and look up at Jungwon in confusion.
"I just need to sleep," Jungwon shook his head, pulling me over to his rolled up jacket, "please sleep beside me."
"I was about to," I pointed out to him, making him just hum in agreement, "can I just ask you... was it one of those blood seizures again?"
"I couldn't help it," Jungwon sighed and laid his head down on his jacket again and stretched his arm out to the side, "I'm sorry I made you hurt."
"As long as it helped you," I assured and ran a hand through his hair, "how about you sleep first? So we're sure you won't have another of those seizure thingies."
"You're in pain," he shook his head and waved me down, "please... I need to know you're alright."
I let out a small huff before nodding and laying down beside him again, like we had laid before his weird seizure thingy.
"Did it hurt a lot?" Jungwon questioned with a small sigh.
I smiled softly before lifting my head and pressing a kiss to his cheek, and for just a second I was able to hear his breath hitch. I quietly smiled to myself, knowing of the effect I still had on him, before I laid my head down again.
"It's fine," I assured him and ran a hand through his hair again, "but I really think we need to sleep... the sooner it gets light again the sooner we can find food and water."
"We really need to find some for you," Jungwon nodded in agreement.
"Me?" I frowned at him.
"Dehydrated, fasting for nearly two days, excessive blood loss," he listed for me, "I'm afraid you might drop dead soon."
"Don't say that," I complained and softly hit his chest, "wasn't it you who told me earlier that I was just strong enough? I'll be fine."
"But this is all my fault. I dragged you in here, I didn't let you eat or drink anything just because I'm a coward... and now... I didn't run, resulting in you getting hurt like this," he complained, making me sigh at him.
"Let it be."
"I can't and you know that," he complained and turned his head to look at me. I quietly hummed as I just stared into his eyes.
"Just try and sleep, okay? We both need it," I urged and patted his chest softly making him sigh at me as he grabbed onto my wrist and held it tight onto his chest.
"Promise me you're not mad at me," he started making me hum, "say you promise you're not mad at me."
"I'm not mad at you... now go to sleep," I sighed and laid my head down onto his outstretched arm once again, "I promise."
