Both Jungwon and I were completely silent as we walked through the hallways of the castle hand in hand. Once in a while I would swing our hands back and forth making a small laugh escape from Jungwon as he just looked over at me. When he did that I would just grin in reply
"Why do you keep doing that?" Jungwon questioned as I had swung our hands back and forth once again, for the nth time.
"Well... because I'm bored... we've walked around these hallways for hours and have yet to find anything," I shrugged up at him, "and there's an awkward silence sometimes."
"Awkward?" he smiled as he looked down at me and I just nodded as I stopped up in the hallway.
Jungwon grinned widely before stepping in front of me and just grinning down at me, carefully tugging a strand of hair over behind my ear.
"What?" I questioned him as I cocked my head to the side.
"I just realized how pretty you are," he casually shrugged and gave my hand a small squeeze.
"Cheesy~" I cooed at him, making him let out a small snort.
"Sincere," he corrected.
"But still cheesy," I reminded him making him just sigh in defeat as he looked down at his hand that held tightly onto mine
"But still sincere," he defended, making me just shake my head at him in disbelief before looking out of the windows in the castle. We had reached the side of the castle that looked over the forest. But I was still able to see the sun going down.
"We should get away from the hallway," I remarked, making Jungwon also look out of the window.
"Yeah..." Jungwon muttered in agreement before looking down the hallway and carefully pulling me along with him.
"Where are we going?" I questioned him hesitantly, making him just tug more on my arm.
"Stay close to me," Jungwon muttered and let go of my hand as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, "arm around my waist."
I hesitated before wrapping my arm around his waist as he opened a door in front of him and slowly peeked into the room as I looked over my shoulder, to see if anyone else was in the hallway, besides us.
"I think it's safe," Jungwon whispered, making me look up at him before looking into the room in front of us.
"Think?" I questioned him.
"Must be better than the hallway," he assured and patted my back softly, "I'll go in first, just hold onto me."
Jungwon reached his hands out behind his back, making me immediately grab onto them and he slowly tugged me into the room after him.
Once inside Jungwon immediately pulled me up by his side and closed the door behind us before locking it and he looked out into the room.
"Candles..." Jungwon muttered as he realized there were lit candles in the room.
"Bad or good?" I questioned as I looked up at him and he just shrugged.
"Could be both..." he admitted and sucked in a deep breath, "we're taking a chance... aren't we?"
"I mean... I'd rather sleep on an actual bed, even though it might be dusty and all, rather than sleep against a shelf," I shrugged and gestured to the big fancy bed in the middle of the room.
"A bit kinky... but it'll do," Jungwon shrugged, making me look at him with widened eyes before just taking a long step to the side and out of his arm, "what?"
"I was NOT ready to hear that," I shook my head at him as I just stared at him in horror, "are you good? Does that vampire thingy also make you some oddly sexualized creature?"
"Uhm... no," he frowned over at me, "I was just joking Ji... relax. I'm not gonna do anything... or am I?"
"I'm leaving," I stated and turned to the door, making him immediately reach over and wrap his arms around me from behind.
"Nooo! I was just kidding," Jungwon whined at me, making me let out a small laugh, "please don't leave... I'll get seriously scared... like SERIOUSLY."
"I know you big baby," I complained to him, "now let me go... I'm tired and really hungry, if you make me stand for one more second right now I won't hesitate to faint."
"You can't faint on command," he reminded me.
"Fucking watch me," I hissed making him just sigh before casually picking me up and throwing me down on the bed whilst just laughing at me, "God look at us... we're in a castle trying to save your life, whilst putting me in mortal danger at the same time, and here we are goofing around like two idiots."
"Way to ruin the mood," Jungwon commented as he just looked over at me with a bored expression.
"Sorry..." I muttered with a small laugh, "but you see how stupid it is, right?"
"It's not stupid... it's coping," he reminded and wiggled his eyebrows.
I let out a small snort before turning my head to look up at the ceiling above me as I let my hands rest on my stomach. A small frown slowly grew on my face.
"What?" Jungwon questioned as he flopped down beside me, laying on his stomach as he looked down at me.
"I just realized..." I slowly trailed off, "this morning... when you locked me in the broom closet for some time... why didn't you tell me what happened?"
"What do you mean?" he frowned at me.
"Why didn't you tell me why I couldn't go out with you? You just told me to stay in the broom closet... it was all silent on the other side and you never told me why," I explained and turned my head to look at him.
Jungwon stared at me for a moment before just looking away and shaking his head, absolutely refusing to look back at me.
"Jungwon-ah? Why won't you tell me?" I questioned him, making him sigh before looking down at his hands as he began picking at his nails.
"I'm scared you'll leave because you'll get scared of me," he admitted, making me let out a small huff before turning his head to look down at me.
"Nothing can scare me more than the fact of getting seperated from you in this moment," I calmly reminded him, "so no matter what you tell me, I'll feel more safe with you than anywhere else in this castle without you."
"You promise that?" Jungwon questioned and I nodded at him with a hum.
"How many more promises do I have to make to you?" I let out a small laugh at him, making him just smile softly before nodding hesitantly at me and staring straight ahead instead of looking down at me.
"I'm scared I'll end up hurting you."
