I looked at the long list of contents in the book. My eyes completely fixed on the book as Jungwon laid his head down beside the book, letting out a small huff as his cheek pressed up against his arms, which his head was laying on.
"What is it Pretty Boy?" I softly questioned and ran a hand through his hair, making him let out a small hum.
"I just like the idea of getting out of here," he muttered, making me hum in agreement as I turned back to the book.
I had removed my hand from Jungwon's hair for just a second to turn a page, only to hear a grunt of disapproval from him, followed up by a small whie afterwards.
"What?" I questioned in amusement as I looked over at how his nose scrunched up and how his eyes had already fallen closed.
"Don't stop," he muttered, "hand, hair."
I let out a small laugh at his cute demand before placing my hand back into his hair, softly running it through his hair. Immediately a small satisfied hum escaped from Jungwon as he let out a deep sigh.
I turned my attention back to the book in front of me looking over the second page of contents. I quickly scanned over it as I reached a section with various articles about the reversal.
'What is a reversal?'
'When is the time to do a reversal?'
'Conditions for a reversal'
'Reversal step by step'A small smile of victory spread on my face. We really were gonna be out of here. I mindlessly continued to run my hand through Jungwon's hair as I flipped my way up on the page I needed to go to.
My page flipping was, however, interrupted by light snores escaping from my right hand. I quickly turned my head to see Jungwon's eyes still closed and his mouth slightly agape as small snores came out of his mouth.
I smiled softly at the sight. Had I had my phone at this moment, had it not disappeared somehow in here, I would've taken a picture of him and put it as my lockscreen for two very important reasons. One, being able to see his adorably cute sleeping face whenever I turned on my phone. Two, being able to tease and mock him for it till the day I'd die. Probably haunt him just to mock him too.
"That's good... rest a bit," I muttered and let my hand stay fixed in his hair, just stopping the movement through his hair.
I kept a soft smile on my face as I looked back at the book in front of me and found the page I needed to find in the book. It was clear it was an old book. Everything was written by hand. But I had always learned in my history classes that this is what made the books the most reliable. They were written by hand, by the author themselves, without having the information twisted through stories passed by mouth.
I let out a small huff as I looked at the page and did my best to read the step by step guide that was written up for how to do a reversal.
A Guide to A Vampire Reversal
Note it is important that following conditions apply to the reversal:-A specific location must be locked for the reversal
-The reversal must fall at the month of a Red Moon
-The reversal must be done with a sacrifice of a living person who truly cares for the bitten individual
-This person can not have a familial relation to youIngredients for the reversal:
*Blood drawn from the living person
*Garlic juiceSteps to follow:
1. Prepare the garlic juice in a cauldron. The bottom must be covered by 1 centimeter garlic juice
2. Let the garlic juice heat for a minute before the blood is added.
3. The blood must be drawn from the living person by the bitten individual. For promised success in the reversal blood must be drawn with the bitten individuals fangs.
4. Let the garlic juice and blood cook together for a maximal of two minutes.
5. The mix of garlic juice and blood must either be applied to the bite marks on the bitten individual or consumed by the bitten individual. It must be burning hot when applied or consumedI let out a small sigh as I read over the recipe. So if we had to be completely sure that Jungwon was to return to his normal self he had to actually bite me in the neck to draw the blood.
Looking over at Jungwon I remembered what he had told that Sunoo boy. We weren't gonna do a reversal where I would be put in danger... but there wasn't any other instructions on how to do a reversal in this book. This was our only chance we had by now.
I let out a small sigh before grabbing onto the top of the page and ripping it out of the book before looking at one of the windows in the library. The sky was still a bright blue outside, we could get out before tonight if we were quick to find a place with a cauldron, stove and garlic.
"Wonie?" I softly spoke and tapped Jungwon's cheek softly making his nose scrunch up as he shook his head, "Jungwon-ah, wake up. We need to go."
"Why?" Jungwon murmured a complaint to me.
"I found a guide on how to change you," I hummed, making him open one eye and look at me.
I happily waved the paper in front of his eyes before folding it together and standing up from my seat.
"Come on," I grinned at him, "if we hurry we'll be out before night falls."
"Wait, really?" Jungwon abruptly lifted his head from the table and looked after me as I walked over to the two big double doors.
"We just have to go find a kitchen," I nodded at him as I turned around completely to look at him.
"Ji!" Jungwon happily exclaimed before getting up from the chair and running over to me.
His hands immediately grabbed my waist as he excitedly lifted me up into a tight hug, a small giggle escaping his mouth.
"You're happy huh?" I let out a small laugh at him and patted his head for him to set me down.
"Are you kidding me? I'm ecstatic!" he grinned widely, "I'll take you on a proper, no castle, date after this. I promise you. No going in somewhere to face death and all that stuff."
"I demand ice cream," I hummed at him with a small smile as I felt my feet meet the ground again.
Jungwon pulled a bit away, just looking down at me with a wide grin as he let out another small laugh.
"I could just kiss you right now!" he exclaimed as he quickly turned around and ran his hands over his face before turning to me with a wide grin still on his face.
"Wait with it, we need to find a kitchen and then I promise you, you can kiss me," I let out a small laugh and unlocked the door behind me.
Jungwon happily ran up to me and grabbed my hand before quickly checking the hallway and pulling me out to run down along the hallway, towards the staircase that would lead us down to the ground floor.
Small laughs continued to escape from Jungwon as he happily walked and skipped a few steps once in a while.
