As I neared the castle a group of six girls stood in front of me, their backs all turned to me, staring at the big wooden door at the entrance of the castle.

"Do you... do you suppose we knock?" A girl with a ponytail spoke up.

"I don't know," a girl with a long bob shrugged casually.

"Excuse me?" I hesitantly spoke up, making all six girls jump and turn around to look at me, "have you been told to come to the castle too?" I questioned and held up my phone.

"Yeah... by my boyfriend," the oldest of the girls nodded at me.

"Did they tell you to take everything?" another girl questioned, her skin a bit more tanned than the others.

"Yeah..." I nodded at them.

"Seven girls... that must mean seven boys..." a girl muttered as she looked back up at the doors.

All at once a loud squeak echoed out through the space around us, and I quickly looked back towards the carnival. All those people, they had no idea what was happening by the castle.

"Enter," a booming voice made my head turn back around to look at the door.

The girls all looked at each other before slowly entering as one big group. I entered behind them as the last one and the door slammed close behind me.

"Do any of you mind taking my hand?" the girl with the long bob questioned making me reach out my hand to her and grab her hand in a secure hold. I didn't even know who she was, but she surely was scared. Her hand was shaking in my hold.

"Welcome," the same booming voice spoke up and an elderly man stepped forward, getting illuminated by the moonlight shining down through a round window in the ceiling, "to the reversal game."

"I swear to god I'm gonna murder Jay when I see him again," a girl with long wavy hair spoke as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I suppose your escorts haven't told you everything about themselves," the man smugly continued and moved his cape aside, placing a cane in front of him and resting both his hands on it, "I'm afraid your beloved escorts has in fact been so called 'bitten' by a vampire within the last 16 months. This is their wish to reverse the curse that would change them to proper vampires, once the 16 months run out. The reversal needs a sacrifice from someone who holds them dear, but is in no way blood related to them. Now... do any of you believe you do not suit this claim of holding your escort dear?"

The girl with wavy hair, and the youngest looking of us immediately raised their hands, making the man look at them with sharp looks. He abruptly turned around and looked up towards the ceiling window, where seven bats all hung down.

"I'm afraid you might be a lost cause Jay... Riki," the man stated to the bats before turning back around to us.

I kept staring up at the bats, but if... if their escorts were hanging up there as a bat... as insanely improbable as it sounded. That would mean Jungwon also hung up there.

I tuned out the man and his explanations of whatever this reversal game was, I desperately looked over the bats in search of anything that could give Jungwon away. To be fairly honest, it actually wasn't that hard. How do you miss a piercing stare from a bat? Okay, okay... usually you would tell yourself it didn't stare at you, but knowing Jungwon hung up there (probably) something definitely told me it was him.

For some reason I immediately felt more secure knowing that it probably was Jungwon I had locked eyes with. A small smile grew hesitantly on my face before I winked up at him, making the bat move its head around as if it was flustered and immediately just looked away. Yep... definitely Jungwon.

A small sob from beside me made me turn my head to watch the girl I had held hands with step forward and push her way through the group. Her eyes were somewhat dry, not a tear had fallen down her cheeks. I watched as the mysterious older man stepped forward and grabbed her chin in one of his hands.

"Such a pretty girl, but so scared," the man tsked out before glancing up towards the bats, "why don't you walk on down that hallway," the man lifted his cane and pointed down a dark hallway, "alone."

"I-I," the girl shook her head before the man simply turned her, and hit her in the back of her knees with his cane, immediately sending her into a walk down the hallway.

One of the bats immediately dropped down to follow after her. Must've been whoever brought her here.

"No, Sunoo," the man called out, making the bat stop in its place, "you follow her I'll tell the elders where I sent her. You must find her along with everyone else."

As weird as it sounds the bat glanced between the dark hallway and the six other bats that looked down at us. Eventually the bat did fly back up to the six others.

"Now... who should we send off next?" the man turned back to us with a piercing look, "you," he stated, "the one with the big white shirt," I immediately looked down at myself. I had worn a pair of shorts, black tank top and an oversized white button up that hung open. It was no doubt me he was talking about.

I sucked in a deep breath before carefully stepping through the group of girls and looking straight at the man with a calm and collected look. Or at least I'd like to say I was calm and collected as I tried to ignore the chills running down my spine.

"You sure are a calm one, aren't you?" the man lowly chuckled at me.

"I'd like to say so," I hummed with a small nod.

"Who's your escort?" the man questioned and I glanced around the place.

"Nice castle, you live here?" I questioned him, making him arch a brow at me.

"Tell me who your escort is," he hissed at me and I simply shrugged.

"Why don't you pick one of your little bats up there and assign him to me?" I questioned and glanced up at the bats that were looking down at us.

"Cheeky one," the man commented and I simply shrugged.

"I don't see why you should be worthy enough of knowing such things about me," I casually shrugged.

"Stairs to the left," he stated and I looked towards a flight of stairs to my left, "see how hard you are to scare."

"Very well," I hummed at him and turned towards the stairs nudging the nearest girl as I walked past her, "the bats are the escorts," I whispered to her, making her glance up in shock as I continued up to the top of the left staircase, looking down at all the girls who stared up at me, "au revoir girls! Let's meet up for a coffee or something when we get out!"

I glanced up at the bats once more with a small smirk before simply turning around and walking down the hallway the staircase had led to. Now I had to admit it, I had nearly shit my pants down there. But that creepy ass man was surely not going to get the best of me, and now he had scared me.
