I squeak, bouncing up and down in my seat, making the chariot bounce with me.
"Rosie, hold still!" Zoe exclaims, adjusting my bow tie, "You'll make us crash again."
"Sorry," I pout, "I'm just so excited!"
"Yeah," she grins, "It's not every day you host Prince Blueblood's niece's daughter's birthday party."
"Eh," I shrug, "I'm mostly in it for the chocolate cake. I heard it's a triple layered one and it's literally the size of a pony!"
"Don't count on getting a piece," Zoe says like a mother, fixing my bright read bow tie again, before moving on to our matching black hats. "The kids are supposed to get the cake first."
I cross my hooves, pouting. "You're no fun sometimes," I say like a little kid.
"That is why we are friends," she touches up her makeup in the reflection of the window, before looking out of it. "Oh, look! We're almost there!"
"Y'know what I also heard?" I can't sit still in my seat, "The... aaaaaah! WONDERBOLTS ARE GONNA BE THERE- Mmph!"
Zoe shoves a hoof into my mouth, a blank expression on her face. I take it as an indication to shut up and spit it out.
The coach lands in a fancy white courtyard with a bright, multicoloured bouncy castle off the the side, a water slide, pool, and lots of... mmm... food. We arrive just before the party starts to set ourselves up on a small, black, wooden stage near the bouncy castle. It takes Zoe everything to pry me away from getting to it.
I don't even know why Celestia made me attend the party instead of sending somepony else like she usually does. She threatened no more desert for a week, though, so I almost collapsed when I found that out.
And now we're here, setting up a comedy act and semi hosting the party.
A kindly looking old mare creeks up to us once Zoe adjusts the microphone. Her pink, greying mane is tied up in a loose bun, and she wears a white, frilly apron. I assume she is the nanny or something.
"Hi, girls," she smiles, the crow's feet by her eyes crinkling up.
"Hello, miss," I say politely while in the air, attaching red, triangular banners to the top of the stage, "What's up?"
"If you two aren't busy, would one of you kindly open the small draw bridge on the other side of the courtyard?" She asks, her voice sounding old. "I've still got to place some decorations around, but some of the kids arrived early. Could you keep them busy for a bit while I finish up?"
"Of course!" Zoe smiles.
"I love kids!" I squeal excitedly, flying over the luscious green grass to the drawbridge.
"Thank you very much," the old mare smiles.
"Oh, by the way," Zoe calls, "Where is the birthday girl?"
"Kimmy? She's in her room, still. Said something about wanting to make a grand entrance or somethin'," the nanny rolls her eyes, before trotting slowly off to get more food.
Zoe sighs as she adjusts her red bowtie for the billionth time, "Kids aren't my thing," she sighs, "But I didn't wanna leave you stranded with the little monsters."
"This is a princess themed party," I remind her, letting down the drawbridge, "They couldn't be that bad."
I let the bridge down fully, and standing on the other side of the small moat is a small green pegasus filly, a bit of a darker colour than Loki, and a little smaller than a regular pegasus filly her age. Her berry blue mane is a wild mess of curls, and her eyes are a beautiful purple.
