I lay in my bed on my back, holding up a sciency book in front of my face. I squint at the squiggly lines on the page. I can't read it, but I'm trying to. And that's the main thing, right?
Loki asked me if I could get him a few stories that were good. But how am I supposed to do that? I can't even read.

I was considering asking Zoe or Twilight, but I'm not exactly sure where they are, and I honestly don't feel like going outside. I swear, I'm worried of what might happen if I see natural daylight after all this time...

And then, suddenly, I hear a knock at my door. "Go away, I'm busy!" I call. I don't feel like getting up, either. Plus, my arse is numb.

After a few seconds, whoever it is knocks again. And again. And again.
Urge to kill: rising.

I growl in frustration, throwing the book across the room, accidentally smashing it into the glass in mirror. I wince. Celestia's going to be mad about that...
Ah, well.
I'll handle it later.

I flap my wings, flying sloppily toward the noise as the knocking continues. I creek the door open wide and notice that no one's there. Then my eyes travel down to a large box - about the size of me - sitting on the ground in front of me.

"Geez, how'd I miss that?" I mumble to myself.

Stapled to the box on a scrap piece of paper is scribbled writing, but I can't read it, so I ignore it. Instead, I notice that the box is moving, making sudden jolts. Shite.
I back away slowly.

Suddenly, four short, nubby hooves rip out of the bottom of the box, a gasp sound coming with it.
"AAAAH!" I scream as it starts chasing after me around my room, knocking over a lamp and almost opening my closet door, which would not have been a good idea.

I sweep the science book up in my hooves, brushing away shards of silver glass. This is a library book, and the librarian will kill me if that thing steps on it.

It bashes into the end of my bed, so I take this as an opportunity to fling the science book at the walking box. With just the right accuracy, the book knocks the box, lifting it up to reveal something fluffy and pink, but that's all I can make out as it *pomf*s like a heap of spilt sugar. Or fairy floss.

Then, underneath the mound of pink fluff is another mound of pink fluff, with a pink pony's head poking out. It's big, aqua eyes land on me, and it gasps happily, lunging at me. I scream again as it semi-tackles me into a hug, sending me to the floor. The thing that looks like a fluffy pony doesn't let go of the embrace, barely moving, so we're just lying on the floor.
"Uh... what?" I furrow my brow.

The hug is turning into an awkwardly long one, and the pink pony doesn't let go, not even after I stand up. I push her away with one hoof slowly.

The fluffy pony stays in the same position, this time a worried expression on her face as she reaches out to grab me again. I sigh, rolling my eyes, taking step forward to let her hug me a little longer.
Then she turns and leaps away on one back leg, forelegs spread out, gasping loudly. Her eyes are derped as she looks around my room.

"So... what's your name?" I inquire, stepping forward and brushing one of her pink hairs from my hair. She simply turns to me and pokes her tongue out, keeping it out with a blank expression on her face. "Uh..."

"Hey, Rosie! Did you get that book I sent you?" Twilight asks, coming nonchalantly into my room. She stops when both me and the fluffy pony stare at her. "Flufflepuff? Is that you?"

"Wait- who's Flufflepuff? Her?" I point to the fluffy pony.

Twilight nods. "Yeah. I can't believe you've never met her before! Everypony knows who she is in Ponyville."
