After my little chilli bean episode, I rush back into the main room with a minute until the race starts and dump myself in the seat I was in before.

All three Wonderbolts- and a few wannabes- line up at the starting line. "Ten bits Soarin will win!" I fangirl to Zoe.

"Ten bits you'll win!" Zoe smiles, her horn glowing.

Both Loki and me give her confused looks. I squeak as a green aura surrounds me and the next thing I know, the box seats are gone and I'm standing on a red track with white lines beside many pegasi lined up win black costumes, wings spread and ready to race. The crowd goes quiet.

Oh crap. Zoe must have teleported me here.

The pegasus with black and white shirt stands on a cloud and waves a checked flag in his hoof. It makes me wonder how the hell hooves work, but that's the least of my concerns now.

The other pegasi dash off and at first, I don't know which would be more embarrassing, flying off to race them or standing here awkwardly. Either way would attract attention. I glance up at the window to seem Zoe giving me a troll face and Loki being stuck to the window like a magnet because I'm further away. Zoe beckons for me to do something.

Shakily, I spread my wings and flap them frantically, trying to catch up with the other pegasi. The crowd starts roaring once I'm off, but I have no idea why.

However, I still lag behind because of my stupid disability. Sweat starts to form on my brow as I feel the blood pumping through my wings as the wind tousles my brown mane lightly.

I can hear the commentator's voice on the loudspeakers, obviously commentating on me of all the other pegasi. Suddenly, the sounds of large wings beating behind me makes me turn around to see security chasing after me. Oh, Celestia, this is humiliating!

I don't wanna get caught by the two pegasi chasing after me, so I beat my wings harder and harder, but this only seems to give them the advantage. Suddenly, the sound of glass smashing cuts through the air. My head snaps up abruptly to see Loki flying towards me, cuff wrist first and screaming.

My eyes widen and I beat my wings faster and faster until Loki comes crashing down on me. We tumble and roll forward until we stop and lay on the ground, groaning. He glances back at the security and whispers to me, "Run."

I give him a look, "What's the use? I'd never be able to beat anyone in flying." Now it feels like we're the only ones here.

"There's more to you that flying," Loki says, looking me in the eye and holding the back of my head.

I start to tear up, partly from feeling worthless and partly because this is humiliating. "No... I'm a pegasus. What good is a pegasus that can't fly? I'm just a stupid, talentless chicken," I mutter, looking away, "That's all I'll ever be."

The security pegasi jump at us, but Loki waves a hand at them without looking and they bounce away like flies. "No, Rosie, listen to me. You can do this," he enforces. He notices me look down in sadness even more and keeps talking. "For me."

I gaze up into his ocean eyes that, for once, aren't glaring back at me. "For you," I say determinedly and pull away, spreading my wings.

Loki brings his cape to sit on it and nods at me approvingly. "Hi ho, Rosie! Away!" He exclaims.

I whinny, throwing my head back and kicking my front legs in the air, galloping off. Loki is being dragged by me, but once again, it looks like an invisible chariot. I laugh wildly as I run as fast as my legs can take me, flapping my wings as hard as I can to push me off.

The other competitions are in sight. Oh my Celestia, the competitors are in sight! That means I'm fast enough to catch up with them. I get up behind them, Loki cheering encouraging words at me.
