I sit next to Loki in the centre of his cell, my head rested on his knee while he holds a book in front of him. My eyes are droopy and tired, but I'm happy. It's because we've been doing a lot of all nighters lately, mostly reading and talking about... stuff. Personal stuff. Like, family issues and all.
I don't know why, but it feels good to talk to him, pony or not.
I haven't left his side much, not since I got back to the Castle, and sometimes I hope I'm not too annoying for him. But he'd tell me if I was. Wouldn't he?
I want to make up for the fact that he's not a pony anymore, but let him know I still like him.
Loki's actually a lot nicer once you get to know him, especially when you give him something softer to sleep on other than the ground.
We've been trying to find ways to break the love spell on Loki so he can get his magic back and go back to Asgard as a reformed guy. Then he wouldn't be a prisoner here...
Man, I'm gonna miss him when he leaves.
We're reading that Norse Mythology book, the first one I got for him, and Loki is telling me the differences between the myth and reality. We turn to a page about mleh-mleh or whatever thing that hammer that this Thor guy I met a while ago. "Who's Thor?" I mumble tiredly, speaking up for the first time in an hour. I've just been listening and reading and busy being half dead.
Loki ehehehehehehehehes and looks at me. "That's a good question," he smiles, "He's... my brother."
"Brother?" I repeat, my blue eyes looking up at him confused, before putting two and two and two together. My eyes widen when I realise and cut Loki off before he has to go through the difficulty of explaining. "Oh. Sorry. Brain fart."
I feel like an idiot. I can't believe I forgot that!
Loki smiles and shakes his head, turning it back to the book and turning the page about the one and only. I giggle. "Nice horns," I smirk.Loki chuckles, "Thanks."
Suddenly, we hear a knock at the door. I jump off of Loki and speed out the cell doors, pressing the green button on the control box and closing them. Loki slaps the book closed and slides it and the other books and pillows under the bench. He dives onto it, sits and plasters an annoyed expression on his face, crossing his arms.
The door opens, revealing a grey unicorn guard. He looks from Loki to me, then clears his throat. "Princess Celestia wishes for your presence, Miss Assface," he says, before I upper cut punch him, knocking him out.
"Don't... call me... by my last name," I hiss.
Loki looks at me, shocked. I shrug and trot out the doors, waving goodbye to him as he waves back until I'm totally out of sight. I still wave a little, then turn with the corners of my mouth turned up, making my way to Celestia's throne room. The guards standing outside nod and open the doors for me.
I'm happy today.
"Thank yoooou!" I squee, pulling the two pegasus guards into an awkwardly long hug. They look around and try to pull away. I pull a forever alone face a whisper, "Let me love you..."
"Rosie!" Celestia yells. I drop the guards on the floor and flap my wings up to her.
"Yes?" I reply, giving a small bow before her huge flight of stairs. She brings a letter up to me with her magic. I'm so proud I can actually read it, now, that I smile brightly as I read it aloud;
"To Whom it may concern,
Loki (Laufeyson) is cordially... ordered... to come to Asgard with his escort for the Annual Asgardian Ball.
