I trot very slowly towards the throne room. It's been two weeks since I last spoke to Celestia, and the topic wasn't exactly fun.

The escort - Matt, a trainee guard and Zoe's on and off boyfriend - had knocked on my door a few minutes ago, telling me that the princess requested my presence.

Of course, I said no. Why would I ever want to talk to her ever again? And what would I say?
'Thank you for lying to me, Celestia! It really lowered my self esteem!'

No.

I can't face her.

But after Matt insisted, and might I add very rudely, I finally went along with him unwillingly. Okay, okay, he dragged me halfway there with his magic, until I finally gave in and walked.

So that's why I'm taking really small, slow steps, dreading whatever comes next as we slowly near the throne room.

Finally, the guards by the doors open them, implying that I trot up the long carpet to look the mare, who's responsible for everything that went wrong in my life, right in the eye. I do so anyway, standing just before the steps to Celestia's throne, where the princess herself sits.

None of us say anything. We just stare at each other for who knows how long, the silence deadly and eery. But it's over in an instant, as she stands from her seat and clears her throat.

"Rosie," her voice is shaky, as if she is afraid. But how could she be the one afraid? "You know why I called you here?"
I look away, pursing my lips. Celestia continues, "I did not call you here to have sentiment. But I do ask that we put this tension aside for now, for only you can complete this task."

I raise an eyebrow up at her. How does she expect me to 'push it aside'? This is my whole entire life we're talking about! Am I really not that important to her at all?
I sniff. "Fine," I mutter.
I want to know what she wants, at least. Besides, I don't like feeling angry at ponies.

"We suspect that Chrysalis-" I flinch at the name, "-is planning to attack Canterlot again, for the third time."

"Telling me something I don't know would be better," I growl.

"I was getting to that," Celestia answers, "We hope these plans are untrue. But we don't know."

"So why are you dragging me into this?" I ask angrily.

"I know just the mare who can find us answers," she smiles down at me. I scowl back.

"What do you want to use me for now?"

"No one wants to use you, Rosie-"

"STOP LYING!" I shout suddenly. "Just... just stop. I'm sick of it."

I stop the tears from running down my cheeks, feeling the anger boil inside of me. I can't trust her anymore. How could I?

After a long silence, Celestia breaks it again. "I swear on my throne, Rosie," she says shakily, "That I am telling you the utmost, honest truth."

I sigh, slowly raising my head to meet her eyes once again.

"What do you want me to do?"

~

I sit in the chariot, my legs shaking. I can't believe I'm doing this.

"Let's go over this one more time," Celestia says. She sits opposite me. We've been quiet the whole trip, "You'll need to walk a good distance, but stay in your form when you do." I raise an eyebrow at her. I don't like how she's being so brief about my heritage like it's something to be ashamed of.
Even though I kind of am.
"You'll need to infiltrate the castle, which shouldn't be too hard with this," she levitates a saddlebag with a special something in it. She fastens it to my waist."You can't let them have it, though. If they get their hooves on it, your cover will be blown."
