All of the Sanses will be referred to as what AU they come from (i.e. OuterTale Sans is Outer) save for ones like Nightmare (where they have established names, not fan nicknames like Atom for Outer). This is my personal take on each of their characters (since obviously they're not actually demons in their canon), but if you think they're OOC, I do apologize. I'll add a picture with their physical description so you can visualize what they look like easier, too. If you have no idea who each of the Sanses are, that's ok! They all get proper introductions like you've never heard of them (a.k.a. your knowledgeability or lack thereof won't detract from the story :D).

I'm writing this story with the assumption you probably read my Nightmare book His Summoner, but I'll still explain stuff, so don't worry! Something to keep in mind tho: this and my Nightmare story are still separate stories (even though they're similar and take place in Alternate Timelines of the same universe) so something that happens in one doesn't denote that same thing happening in the other. And all the chapters are Latin numerals. Enjoy!

Flames danced in (Y/n)'s eyes as she stared blankly ahead, her mind lost in a memory. She was situated in her living room in a comfy armchair a dad could usually be found napping in on an evening like this, the house silent as death around her. It was by no means a big house, but with one sole occupant, it might as well have been a mansion. No emotion crossed the young woman's face as she played the same memory that had been stuck on loop in her mind for years.

She could hear the ghost of her dad telling her 'you can do it!' as the demon he summoned to protect him stood in front of her with a lazy grin. There was hip-hop music playing in the background as the tall skeleton demon took her much smaller hands in his and danced around the room with her. She was young then, about 12 and a half, but she might as well have been a toddler with how she stumbled around the room trying to keep up with Dance. Dance's energy didn't wane at her inexperience, and Dad's calls of encouragement fueled the fire under her feet as she tried to learn the moves Dance was teaching her.

How foolish she had been thinking something as wholesome as that would last, and how equally foolish she was to believe demons could be trusted. She could recall looking up at Dance with a smile, completely trusting the demon her dad summoned to protect him. It was deadly work being a summoner, which is why her dad summoned Dance specifically to protect him in case the other demons Dad summoned escaped or tried to kill him.

Yet as she watched the sweet memory of her family play out in front of her, the house remained cold and empty, and (Y/n) was completely alone.

A knock at the door made her memory cut short, and her (e/c) eyes finally left the fireplace to glance towards the front door. She'd completely lost track of time. She had a summoning today—her first one—and the client was very rich and very busy, instead sending her son to take care of it for her. So (Y/n) stood, dusted herself off like she herself was as dusty as the master bedroom that hadn't been used in years, and headed towards the door.

When (Y/n) opened it, a young man with bleached blonde surfer hair and tanned skin greeted her with a perfect smile. His eyes were crystal blue and his face reminded her of a Greek god with how perfectly chiseled it was. No doubt he'd paid for surgery to look so handsome, but she didn't truly care how he got his looks or what he did with his wealth. A lot of it was going into her mostly empty bank account, and while she'd always wanted to be a summoner growing up, she only did it now out of necessity. Life insurance and an inheritance only provided for so long, after all.
