(Y/n) began chanting the summoning ritual in Latin, her voice monotone and words clear and strong. She knew the ritual by heart and thus her gaze seemed to go through the book in her hands, her focus more on her pronunciation instead of reading the words on the page. If she didn't say each word in the ritual perfectly, the demon could be summoned wrong and all hell would break loose. The air around her seemed to be sucked out of the room and the chalk lines glowed brightly as the shadows lengthened around them. The circle seemed to rotate slowly as the candles lit the dark room, and a sudden chill dropped the temperature around them enough for (Y/n) to see her breath. Theo glanced around the room like he'd seen all of this before, then his eyes focused on the girl as she finally concluded the chant with, "...Voco rex daemonium!"

A demon appeared in the center of the pentagram, crouched low. It stayed silent for a long moment, its golden eyelights flickering around the room as if searching for who summoned it before they landed on (Y/n). It rose slowly, standing up to its full height of 6'10"/208 cm, and its gaze never strayed from the summoner as it harbored an unreadable expression. It was a skeleton demon with bleach white bones and 2 golden eyelights in its sockets that were pinned to (Y/n)'s every movement. It wore a circlet of gold around its head and a black bone-tight shirt and pants, with black armbands that extended up to the top of its humeruses and gold gloves. Across its tall frame was a gold coat with green trim stopping just above gold boots that reached halfway to its patellas. 2 ribbons of gold hung from the back of its outfit, and a belt with 'DS' tied it all together.

"Hello, human," the demon greeted (Y/n), his voice soft and inviting. Her eyes widened, the sheer positive aura he was giving off momentarily stunning her into silence. She couldn't explain why he felt so comforting to be around, but for once the cloud over her head seemed to disappear. "Are you my summoner?" he asked politely, his hands clasped behind his back to wait patiently for her to answer. She was an attractive young woman with (s/c) skin and dull (e/c) eyes—like she'd been through a lot and the (e/c) color faded along with the spark inside her. She was (short/medium/tall) in height and (thin/average/chubby) by human standards, and her (hair/length) (h/c) hair framed her face perfectly. Her outfit was dark—reminding him of an edgy skeleton demon back home—with a black skirt, fishnets, boots, and blouse that complimented her figure. She looked stunning.

"Your owner is over here," Theo snapped snarkily, making the demon's sockets widen in surprise before he turned to face Theo.

"Apologies. How may I help you?" His tone remained pleasant and friendly despite the arrogance in the way Theo looked at him. (Y/n) watched with utter fascination, completely unsure of what to think. Demons were nasty, cruel beings—even Dance had his moments that showcased his true power despite how otherwise friendly he could be—and she'd never met a King that wasn't pure evil. But this one was different somehow, and it made her all the more cautious because of it.

"You're gonna be my bitch, demon," Theo said curtly, his smile almost mocking at having such a powerful demon under his thumb. The demon cocked his head to the side, not entirely sure how Theo could confuse 'female dog' with 'demon' since he was clearly no dog. "Witch, do you have the contract dets?" (Y/n) sighed silently but set her ritual book down on the end table and picked up the next book containing the lengthy, detail-heavy soul contract that all summoners provided to those that paid them to summon demons. It covered the entire terms and conditions of the pact between the human and demon, essentially signing away the demon's right of autonomy under the human so the human had complete control over them. A soul contract bound the human and demon's souls, and violation of the contract by the demon meant the demon's immediate death.
