Swap and Outer looked up at the trio's arrival to (Y/n)'s bedroom. Swap held a giant glowing blue bone that looked similar to a bo staff in function, and Outer still had his hands casually in his pockets with a slightly uneasy grin on his teeth. Dream summoned his swords, which he attached at his hips, then summoned his bow with a cyan arrow already notched. Slash procured his broadsword, swinging it around to practice his strokes before planting the deadly end at the floor and wrapping his hands around the handle. (Y/n) had her knife with holy water still dripping from the blade—she knew it wasn't all that useful against skeleton demons but she wasn't going to do this defenseless.
"Are Ink and Error ready?" she asked, and Swap nodded firmly.
"Ink is in position and Error is watching out for humans." Ink was stationed in the living room and Error was likely in the entryway to watch the front entrance, so that meant they were ready to go.
(Y/n) surveyed the eager demons, seeing the same fear reflected in Outer's eyelights. She sent him a small smile, seeing him visibly relax as Dream likely used his positive aura to soothe him. "Are we ready?" she asked, receiving several nods. "Alright, well, you might wanna get in position. As soon as I let the barrier down, they're showing up." They moved to different spots around the room in various stances of readiness—Slash and Outer standing on the far side opposite her with Swap between her and them next to the wall—but Dream stayed beside her.
"Are you sure you would not be safer staying hidden?" Dream asked quietly, his eyelights golden pools of worry.
(Y/n) forced a pained smile. "Probably, but if I'm here, we know where their attention is going to be." With both of Waylon's targets in one place, they knew where the demons would be going and who they'd be going for. It wasn't a huge tactical advantage, but it was still better than chasing them around the house as they searched for (Y/n). "I just hope they'll be willing to talk," she grumbled. If they triumphed over Waylon's demons here, there was a chance they'd be left alone, but if they talked it through, there was a greater chance of being left alone in the future. Not that (Y/n) thought the rich man would give her up, but Dream thought there was a chance—unlikely at best, but she didn't want to dismiss the possibility. She was hoping to kill any demons that weren't Nightmare or his minions like Error suggested but Dream wasn't as big on the idea.
"Be careful, summoner," Dream requested quietly. (Y/n) sent him a confident smile but he could see it waver—all of his time spent with her made her much easier to read. And she could practically feel his concern for her despite not being the one with the ability to feel others' emotions, the subtle downward tilt of his teeth a sign of his sweet worry.
"[We got this,]" she repeated the familiar words back to him, and his smile broadened.
He gazed around the room, taking in his friends with an almost kingly air before he nodded. "Drop the barrier." So (Y/n) focused her magic and stopped inputting it into the forcefield while maintaining the magic-sensing dome barrier, and instantly Fell teleported into the middle of her bedroom with another demon—she felt their magic crackle in the air as if she could physically feel them teleport in, Fell's magic signature feeling hot and angry somehow. The other demon wore a blue hoodie with the hood up, crimson and sapphire eyelights peering out from the shadow his hood cast on his skull, with his gloved hands in his pockets. He wore black basketball shorts with white stripes up the side and faded pink slippers, and a red scarf wrapped around his neck with a suspicious amount of dust on it.
