Hello, my dear child. This is another non-canon bonus chapter for those of you that aren't familiar with these, so feel free to skip if you're not interested as it's just fluffy/flirty goodness that has no bearing on the actual plot. Oh, and these bonuses tend to poke fun at myself, the story, the characters, and just generally break the 4th wall - which should help you keep it separate from the actual canon plotline (hopefully). I like to be kind and give y'all stress-free content on occasion so this is it - because surely this story won't end like His Summoner (my Nightmare book) right? :) Anywho, enjoy your alone time with Ink <3

Ink didn't care for many beings—demon or otherwise—so it was odd that he cared so much for (Y/n). His little sliver of a soul was attached to her, and while initially he wrote it off as simply the soul contract they were bound to, he was starting to realize it was more than that. It wasn't very often he felt any form of jealousy due to his lack of care—jealousy arising from wanting something that wasn't his, and his apathy made it hard to care enough to get jealous—yet Swap and (Y/n) dancing pulled that rare emotion out of him easily.

Watching the two of them dance around the living room together made something stir in his gut that shouldn't exist, yet it was there, so in an effort to make the uncomfortable emotion go away, he threw himself at his art, crafting some inspired pieces that rivaled all of his other works. The music from the player in the living room made the drawings come to life, and to his lack of surprise, he found himself drawing him and (Y/n) dancing the night away. It didn't go over his head that her story was focused on having passion for life, creativity being a way to regain her thirst for life that she'd lost through tragedy. Sure she'd learn that lesson with time—hopefully—but it was hard to focus on such things when her life was in constant danger. Good thing he had a bonus chapter to help her, huh?

(Y/n) walked into the living room to see Ink doodling to the music of the player and she let out a soft sigh. She'd gotten over her hangup of music rather quick, due in no small part to the good demons she'd summoned as well as Dream's positivity, but that didn't mean she was over all her residual avoidance of music. It still reminded her of a lover lost, and while the idea of moving on had been planted, she wasn't magically over Dance yet.

"Hey (Y/n)!" Ink's voice made her gaze focus on him. He patted the spot on the couch beside him and she walked over to sit next to him. "I was just thinking of you, and more specifically, how I could help you get your zest back." His eyelights were bright, shifting shapes every time he blinked. She couldn't begin to figure out what any of the shapes/colors meant—assuming they even had any rhyme or reason.

"What did you have in mind?" She tried to sound patient, like despite talking to a hyperactive child, she was willing to give him the time of day. The two of them had a rocky relationship at best but it was clear his heart was in the right place even if he went about it as poorly as he could have. It was hard to be good as a demon, and with such a tiny, barely there soul, she couldn't exactly blame him for his lack of manners. She wasn't always the best with communication either and she had the soul to care in the first place.

"What do you like doing?" Ink faced her, crossing his legs and leaning towards her with wide, excited sockets. "Are you a culinary artist? An author maybe? A master of the pencil like me? Or maybe you just like dancing or creating music?" Creativity came in all forms and most everyone had at least one niche they enjoyed—even if that niche wasn't typically associated with creativity like writing or drawing. Mechanics enjoyed getting creative with cars, or finding solutions for existing problems; chefs enjoyed the creativity of cooking, which is an art form in and of itself; philosophy majors enjoyed the creativity of thinking outside the box, coming up with interesting hypotheticals that stimulate the mind. To limit creativity only to the obvious ignored just how driven by creativity the world was. Even scientific studies were driven by the desire to know more, creatively exploring our world and why it works the way it does, and sometimes creatively coming up with solutions for existing problems.
