Meira's eyes zoomed in and out of focus. At first, everything seemed to be merged into one blurry image, but she could still make out the chandelier in her room.

Swallowing her saliva, she groaned and sat up in bed, reaching for her glasses that were supposed to be on her bedside table next to the lava lamp. She felt around for it and looked over, but it was nowhere to be found. This greatly puzzled her, the pair of limited-edition glasses she received from Vietnam was always on her table.

For it to not be there means it had been moved-

"No, no, no, no, no! That tramp with a bottle-shaped head couldn't have moved my glasses! That's my favorite pair." Meira then searched beneath her pillows and found a spare pair she always kept in close range.

Now able to see again, the sight before her was not one she expected to come across. "Aaah! Mom! Someone help! Aaah!"

She recoiled in utter fear till her back was against the headboard. Four tall males stood in her room, around her bed, intently looking down at her.

"Who are you guys and what are you doing in my room?" she bellowed at them, feigning bravery.

"Woah, chillax, baby girl. We're not gonna eat you, but Venom might." The male closest reassured her. Meira's heart had flown below the earth's crust when she took in his appearance. "Heck, he wouldn't mind eating me, too. Wait, that sounds gay."

"I don't eat sh!t." The male opposite him smirked, which pissed the previous one off. "Sorry dude, it ain't a part of my diet."

"If Carnage didn't ask us to not make a scene I'd roast you so bad not even Satan would want your charred ass in hell. Better watch it or I'll do something I most likely won't regret."

"Come at me then, fuckface. I ain't afraid of you."

"Swing then, fucker! I ain't scared of you either!"

"Guys, I think she's traumatized." The third male by the bed end said, stopping them from bickering.

Meira, who was curled on her bed hugging a pillow, stared soundlessly. She was so silent she heard the beats of her heart in her ears. She didn't know if she was nervous, afraid, or captivated by their unique handsomeness. There was a high possibility she was all three.

"Guys, I got this," the first male cleared his throat and sported a breathtaking smile. "Since I don't know your name, I'm gonna call you Snow. Good morning, Snow, on behalf of the gang I apologize for disturbing your sleep. We just thought you were dead because you were unmoving. We wanted to make sure you weren't because Carnage would slaughter us if something happened to you. Let me introduce myself and my homeboys; My name is Neon, that over there is Venom, and these two are Korpse and Bandit.

"We circled the crib yesterday on Ryat's behalf and met what we thought was a crime scene. You fainted on the spot so Venom brought you inside. Don't be scared, Snow, we don't bite, we promise."

She thoroughly scanned each of them from head toe, well, knees because she couldn't see their feet. They looked like they'd just waltzed out of magazines, the two closest to her were especially captivating. Meira was certain her cheeks were red, they felt warm. Now shy more than scared, she blinked meekly and habitually pulled strands of her hair behind her ear.

Neon, the one on her left, was tall with an athletic build. He had astonishing dirty blonde hair done in a stylish wolf cut. His cat-like whiskey-colored eyes were dreamy - hypnotizing - and framed by dark lashes. Further down below his straight nose were peachy moist lips, a gold ring hooked at the corner of his bottom lip as well. The tattoo he had on the right side of his neck - a question in Spanish with three blue morpho butterfly tattoos - glowed against his tanned skin. On the other side were multiple rose tattoos and he had multiple ear piercings.
