Ryat awoke to cackling that increased the agonizing throbbing in his head. He cracked one eye open to see who is laughing but all he met was blurred images and white stars floating around in the air. A cough erupted from his throat and he groaned. Voices started talking around him but his brain failed to translate what they were saying. He felt completely disoriented, almost falling right back into unconsciousness when he felt a hand on his cheek. The softest fingers he'd ever felt before gently caressed his skin providing a soothing feeling for him. In took time, but with the help of this angel–or whoever had that soft hand–he felt okay enough to open his eyes.

“Ryat,” a tiny voice invaded his mind. It sounded clear and concerned. “Ryat, please wake up.”

His eyes instantly popped open with a slight sense of panic, he came across the ceiling of the living room without chandelier lights brightly shining. Ryat placed his elbows beside him and tried to get up, he glanced to his left and met Meira pouting sadly at him. There was a white bandaid on the right side of her cheek, and she was practically shaking in fear. This angered every demon that dwelled in hus dark soul–he felt murderous seeing her in such a state.

“Dude, you okay?” he heard Venom asking from above him. He looked to his right and Venom, Korpse and Bandit all looking down at him. They looked tired with dark circles under their eyes and messy hair–it was an immediate indication that something wasn't right. His friends always keeps themselves neat and well-groomed, especially...

“Where's Neon?” he asked, throat dry. “Where the f**k is Zayde?”

“Mexico,” an oddly familiar female voice said. “My men raided the hideout we found at the last minute but they all died, bombs were at every corner. They've slipped through our fingers, but no need to worry, since I didn't the chance to k!ll the heir of the Paloma Cartel, you will.”

Ryat, the boys and Meira, threw annoyed looks at Lady Danger sitting in a chair crocheting a black scarf. She was incredibly focused on the craft.

“What the f**k are you talking about?” Korpse gripped the top of the couch, his anger bubbling inside him.

“Do not curse at me, boy.”

“You f–” Venom stopped Korpse from cursing at her again. At first, he was angry but Venom reminded him that they were meb dressed in black from their heads to their souls carrying long black g*ns. The best decision right now is do behave and do as she says. “Fine, but don't expect an from me apology. Why do you look like Mrs. Hamilton anyway?”

“Donata De Leone is my twin sister. I was raised in an Italian country side, she was raised in the Rome. We met for the very first time at the age of twenty-four in a local Café she owned.”

“What was my dad talking about?” Ryat pulled Meira next to him then snaked an arm around her waist, he made her rest her head on his shoulder.

Donatella stopped crocheting and sighed, she neatly packed everything into a little black back them crossed her legs with a cigar between her fingers. A man came and lit it for her.

“Your mother was infertile. As her sister, she trusted me and told me everything–and I do mean everything. She badly wanted to have a child, that was her only wish, so asked me to be a Surrogate. I agreed. We went to a private hospital and you know the rest. However, during the entire pregnancy I and your father had an affair behind her back. After you were born she doted on your like crazy, giving us more space to freely cheat. When she eventually found out she divorced Theodore and kicked me out of her home–not only did she do that, she made her men gang r*** me for umpteenth months. They kept me locked in a warehouse and did all sorts of things to me. For many of the sessions, your mother was there and watched me get ab*sed with cold eyes,” Dona took a draw from the cigar and released the smoke through her nostrils. “After three years, I was freed. She made sure I was never able to get a legal job. Now, I took am unable to get pregnant. She herself removed my womb. Your mother was also the highest paid surgeon in America at that time.
