I'm reading my book in the corner as usual. I do this before every performance we have. Since I don't perform I don't have anything to do before so I usually read a book before and I take it out with me so I can read while listening to the music. I don't like reading in complete silence it's boring so I like people talking around me or music being played.
Lucy Gray crouches down in front of me and I look her in the eyes
"When Coriolanus comes in I want you to walk into the Hob with him" Lucy Gray says
I make a face that says no way am I doing that
"I know you don't trust him, but trust me?" Lucy Gray says
I purse my lips a little bit. I have always trusted Lucy Gray but her choice in men haven't been the best so I'm not sure I trust her on this one
"Please?" Lucy Gray says
I nod a little bit and fidget with my hands starting to get nervous about what's about to come. Lucy Gray holds my hands smiling softly at me
"Hey, you're ok. You'll be fine" Lucy Gray says squeezing my hands a little bit
My eyes start to water my anxiety starting to take over and tears start to roll down my cheeks. Lucy Gray wipes the tears from my cheeks and she hugs me tightly. I hug her back and she lifts me up putting me on her hip. I like when she carries me. It doesn't happen often but she does it when she feels I need to be closer to her for comfort and she is exactly right. I just need to feel close to her right now.
I hear the door open and I slightly look over to who came in and it's Coriolanus and Sejanus. Maude Ivory runs over to them and talks to them for a little bit. Coriolanus hands Maude Ivory something and she gives them a curtesy before running over to me and Lucy Gray.
"Look!" Maude Ivory says showing us some popcorn balls
They look really good I would like to try some of those if I asked I could probably have one
"Save them for after" Lucy Gray says in a stern voice before Maude Ivory runs off to show everyone what she got
She sits down on a desk still holding me close to her. That's when Coriolanus starts walking over to us
"You didn't need to do that. You're going to spoil her" Lucy Gray says
"Just trying to get some happy in her head" Coriolanus says
"How about my head?" Lucy Gray says teasing Coriolanus a little bit
Lucy Gray and Coriolanus kiss
"Ok that's a start" Lucy Gray says patting the desk next to her
Coriolanus takes a seat
"Any chance we'll get some alone time?" Coriolanus asks
"No, she needs a little me time right now. She won't say anything though" Lucy Gray says rubbing circles on my back
Coriolanus nods and looks around a little bit
"What's this place?" Coriolanus asks
"Right now it's our break room. We come here before and after the show and when we go offstage between numbers" Lucy Gray says
"But who owns it?" Coriolanus asks concerned
"No idea. We'll just perch here until they shoo us off" Lucy Gray says
Coriolanus starts to talk about how he is working with jabber jays to catch them and send them back to the Capitol. It's kinda sad them being in cages and all
