I'm sitting in my beanbag in my room reading with Bean in my lap. I have a royal blue polka dot dress on that has a collar and buttons from the chest all the way down to the skirt and I have white socks and matching blue buckle shoes to go with it and I have a headband in my hair. I am reading one of the new books I got for my birthday when I hear my door open
"Briar Rose, Fauna is here" Lucy Gray says
"Ok" I say not moving from the beanbag or looking up from my book
There is a bit of silence for a little bit and I keep reading thinking that Lucy Gray left
"Briar Rose that means now" Lucy Gray says sternly
"No" I say to Lucy Gray still reading my book
"Briar Rose you need to do school" Lucy Gray says sternly
"I don't want to" I say back
"You don't have a choice" Lucy Gray says
"Well I should" I say to Lucy Gray
"Well you don't" Lucy Gray says
"I'm not going" I say looking up at Lucy Gray with an angry face
"Briar Rose Baird, you have to go to school it isn't up for discussion" Lucy Gray says mad
"I'm not going" I yell
This causes Bean to wake up and she looks at me and licks my hand. The look on Lucy Gray's face is a type of anger I have never seen on her face before
"Yes you are, you have until I count to three to get up and go to the study. If you don't you won't be able to watch tv for a week" Lucy Gray yells
"I. Don't. Care" I say to Lucy Gray
"Fine, no books" Lucy Gray says angrily
"That's not fair" I yell at Lucy Gray
"1...2...." Lucy Gray says
I get up right before she can say three and I walk past her angrily
"I hate you" I yell at her before I walk into the study
Fauna looks at me as I sit down and I sigh a little bit
"What was that about?" Fauna asks
"Nothing" I say to her looking down at the table
"Are you sure?" Fauna asks
"Yes I'm sure" I say annoyed
"Ok...today I wanted to get to know you better so I was thinking we could go to the park today" Fauna says
"The park?" I ask her
I thought school was about learning not about getting to know someone better, but I love nature so the park seems fun
"Yeah! I heard you like nature so I thought we could take a walk in the park" Fauna says
"Ok" I say
"I will ask you some questions and then you can ask me some questions, does that sound good to you?" Fauna asks
"Yes that sounds fine" I say
"And then after that we will start on some history" She says
I nod a bit. I don't really want to learn about the history of Panem it probably says the Districts are bad and everyone are rebels and such, but most people aren't. We're just trying to survive to the next day in the Districts. We barely have enough to survive. Fauna stands up from her chair and I stand up following her out of the study. When we walk out of the study I can hear Lucy Gray crying. I look at the ground feeling a bit bad for saying that I hate her. It was a heat of the moment thing and I now regret it. Me and Fauna walk out of the front door. I will apologize to her once we get back from the park. I wonder if it's a park like the indoor one that has something I can play on or if it is a park that you just walk in. We go down the elevator and start walking down the street. As usual it is super loud and bustling with people walking all around and cars everywhere. Once we make it to the park I realize it is one of the parks you walk in which is nice because there are a lot of different plants here. Some I have never seen before
