I jolt awake searching the empty dark room that I am in. I let my eyes adjust a little bit and that is when I realize I'm not at home anymore I'm in the Capitol with all the fancy people and fancy buildings and fancy cars. I just want to go home I miss home. I slip out of my bed and I walk out of my room. I want Lucy Gray. I go to Lucy Gray's and Coriolanus' room and I walk in trying not to bump into anything that is in the room. I go over to Lucy Gray's side of the bed and I shake her a little bit trying to wake her up. She groans a little bit and she opens her eyes

"What are you doing awake Briar Rose?" Lucy Gray asks sitting up in bed

I don't answer, I don't feel like answering, but also nothing is coming out of my mouth

"Ok let's get you back to bed" Lucy Gray says standing up and leading me out of the room

We go back into my room and Lucy Gray turns on the side lamp in the room and that is when everything comes spilling out. Tears start falling down my cheeks and sobs escape my mouth. Lucy Gray pulls me into a hug

"I want to go home, I want things to go back to normal" I say sobbing

"I know. I do too" Lucy Gray says rubbing circles on my back

My chest feels like it's on fire the world feels like it could break into a million pieces and I would be ok with it

"I-I want.... I dunno" I say shaking and crying

"Shh it's ok, we're gonna be ok. I know change isn't fun and it's scary but we will get through this together. You and me against Panem" Lucy Gray says rocking me back and forth

"You and me against Panem" I say starting to calm down a little bit

Lucy Gray lays me down in bed and lays next to me holding me close to her

"Do you want to tell me about your nightmare?" Lucy Gray asks me stroking some hair out of my face

"It was about the peacekeeper the day you got back from The Hunger Games" I say clinging on to Lucy Gray's shirt

"I'm sorry, I know it wasn't a good day for you that day, and I know going on stage didn't feel good to you" Lucy Gray says

"Why did he keep asking me all the questions?" I ask Lucy Gray

"Because you are the kid and they want to get to know you" Lucy Gray says while stroking my hair

"But what about you? Don't they want to get to know you?" I ask her

I am confused why ask me all the questions. I don't like being on stage at all it's loud and everyone is judging you

"Because they already think they know me" Lucy Gray says

"That's stupid" I say

"Yes it is" Lucy Gray says

"I think it is time for you to try and go to sleep" Lucy Gray says kissing my forehead

"I miss you sleeping next to me" I say quietly

"I miss it too, but look at this nice room that you have with so many books and clothes and Coriolanus says we can get you some toys too" Lucy Gray says

"But I don't want things to change I want you to sleep next to me like usual and I want you to go to the lake and see Feebee and see you perform at the Hob" I say fiddling with the hem of Lucy Gray's pajama shirt

"I know I want it to go back to normal too, but sometimes changes have to be made and that is also ok" Lucy Gray says rubbing circles on my back

I nod a little thinking. What if we get a pet. I mean we had Shamus at home but she wasn't exactly a pet she helped us a lot
