Dear Tam Amber, Barb Azure, CC, and Maude Ivory,

Hi everyone! Good news! We get to come visit on May 1st! This won't just be a visit though, we are planning on going to the lake house and staying there. We don't want to be in the Capitol anymore, but to get ready for that to happen we need your help. If you don't want to that is fine, but we assume you will help us. Over the next few months we were thinking that you could stock the lake house with food, but you have to put it under the floorboards because we are thinking after we go to the lake house Coriolanus will come looking for us with some peacekeepers and look in the house so it has to look mostly abandoned. We are also hoping that you will put the rest of our clothes that we left at home in the cabin. Briar Rose will be saving up her allowance that she gets from Coriolanus and when we get back she will give it to you so you can continue to get food and bring food to us sometimes. Briar Rose was also wondering if she could slowly send home some things to put in the cabin like books and her favorite dress that she has here that she wants to send back. We will continue to send y'all money until we come back but money won't be sent after that so jobs will have to be figured out and maybe getting more than two goats. This is gonna have to be planned very well because there will be a lot of eyes on us when we arrive in District 12 from the Capitol. Briar Rose also wants to bring her dog with her back home because she loves her a lot and really helps her. This is gonna take a while to plan and will need lots of letters to plan it out. No one can know of this plan except for you. We hope everything is going well back home and we miss y'all a lot and will see you in a couple of months

Briar Rose and Lucy Gray,

Of course we will help you are family! Once the snow melts we will start setting up the cabin for you two. We will have Tam Amber pull up a few of the floorboards and create some sort of basement in the cabin just in case you two need to hide also. Of course Briar Rose can send some things that we can bring to the cabin for her. If you Lucy Gray have anything that you would like to send over too please do. Anything important that we could either trade away for things or things you want to keep. What will happen if peacekeepers regularly come check the cabin to see if you are there? Coriolanus does really think he has a hold on you two and can control you both in any way possible. We will also give you two a goat once everything is good and clear so you two can have some milk. We have been saving up some ingredients for things just in case so we will give you the extras. We have also gotten some seeds for vegetables and fruit so we will put those in closer to when you are coming. Has Briar Rose grown any? Do we need to get her some new shoes or clothes? We know you will have access to fish during the warmer months, but what about the colder months? What are you gonna do then for food? Are you gonna hunt? If so what are you gonna use to hunt? We will put all the herb and plant books in the cabin and Briar Rose can send us more fun books to read. Also how will y'all start a fire? We don't have matches and flint is hard to use to start a fire. We will put a washing board in the cabin and some soap, but after you run out of that soap you're gonna have to make your own. We will also bring you a basin before the winter months start so you can clean yourselves during that time. There's probably more things we have to go over but that is all we can think of right now

We are sending along a package with this letter also. Briar Rose put in a couple of books, we put in some sweets from Ma Plinth also for everyone and of course the usual money. If peacekeepers come we will hide as with the goat we are unsure of what we are gonna do with it if we need to hide, but Bean will definitely fit down in the little storage area with us. Briar Rose has not grown any. We are pretty sure Coriolanus is still putting stuff in her food to stop her from growing. We think after a couple weeks it will get out of her system so maybe grab a few old pairs of Maude Ivory's shoes and some of Maude Ivory's dresses that she has grown out of because Briar Rose will grow. For food during the winter we will probably hunt. Briar Rose has started reading some books on different types of traps that can be used for animals. She's not very happy that we are gonna kill animals, but I said it was needed if we wanted to stay alive. I was thinking of using a bow and arrow. Daddy briefly taught me how to use it when I was younger and I remember where he hid it in the woods so I will use that. I was also thinking we could use an axe to cut wood. I was thinking we could use live coals to keep a fire in the fireplace going. The last time I checked the refrigerator wasn't working in the cabin, but that was a while ago so maybe check up on the fridge again. The seeds and ingredients will be good and during the winter we could probably dry some fish and eat it in the winter or use the freezer to keep the fish fresh. The basin sounds good maybe you could bring the basin before so we can use it for cleaning clothes also. We could also use some sewing needles and thread in case we need to patch up any clothes we have. We could also use extra blankets and sheets for the bed that we have. Also maybe get us some jackets and some winter stuff for later. We will also need some buckets also. We can't think of anything else if you have any ideas to bounce off us go ahead. See you soon!

Lucy Gray and Briar Rose,

All those things sound good. We will also put some candles in the cabin for light during the night. We will also be putting some medical supplies in the cabin in case anything happens. We hope nothing bad happens like that but better safe than sorry. We will also put fresh firewood in the cabin before you come. The snow has finally melted and Tam Amber is gonna go do work on the house with CC and Maude Ivory this week to make sure everything is good and well for when you get here. Would y'all like anything more than books in the cabin? We can buy you some playing cards and put them in the cabin or another game. We will also put utensils cups, plates, and stuff to cook with in the cabin. Will Bean need anything for the cabin? Like a bed or food or anything else? Briar Rose please send some more books over please we will need two every other week at least, and put anything g that Bean may need from the Capitol send it here also. We miss you both! We put two new books in the package and the rest of the clothes that we both have. Briar Rose also put her camera in there because it's one of her favorites. Next package we will send her sketchbook and pencils over. We can use an extra blanket for Bean for her bed and Briar Rose knows everything about what dogs should and shouldn't eat. We would both like a deck of cards. There are more games that you can play with cards than one single board game. Also don't forget to put some pillows in there and a knife that we can use also. We could also use a brush and something to tie our hair up with and don't forget a couple towels for us we will definitely need those. Also maybe try and find something like a lamp that we could put a candle in so it doesn't blow out and definitely storage for food in the fridge. We will also need some extra string for the fishing rods. Briar Rose will be sending over one stuffed animal and she will bring Cuppy with her. We could also use a tool kit and some extra nails to make furniture on our own. I think we have gotten everything. Oh me and Briar Rose will also be bringing our guitars with us. There is always space for music. We miss you see you soon!

Briar Rose and Lucy Gray,

Everything is now set up in the cabin and is ready for you. Tam Amber made a little space under the floorboards, no animals should be able to get to it. Everything that is needed is hidden under the floorboards and the cabin mostly looks abandoned other than the stuff that was in there before. Briar Rose please keep sending books so we can keep putting them in the cabin. The fish have come back to the lake and it looks like there is a lot of them so there will be plenty of fish. Make sure to sneak out the back of the building when Coriolanus is making his speech and do it quickly and quietly you don't want to get caught trying to sneak away. Make sure Bean does not bark at all. With what we have heard Bean is a good dog and probably doesn't bark at all. We all so excited to see you in a couple weeks time and are excited to help you get settled into the cabin after Coriolanus comes looking for you. There is also a lock on the inside of the storage under the floorboards so if someone thinks there is something under there and you two are there the floorboards won't come up. We miss you, see you in a couple of weeks!
