Summer and Secrecy. An Austin and Ally Story.

Confusion

Ally's p.o.v

Trish came running in about an hour later "You'll never believe this!" She cried and came opposite me, the other side of the counter.

"What?!" I urged. Did she follow Austin? What did she find out? Why am I feeling so guilty?

She held out her hand. "Buffy's are doing $3 manicures!" She beamed inspected her freshly painted nails.

"Trish, I sent you out to spy, not get a good discount manicure. Did you find out about Austin?" I pleaded her. I knew she knew something. I can tell in her eyes.

She sighed and looked at the floor. "Just promise you won't get mad at me, because I'm just the secret agent in this." She said reassuring me. I nodded. "Well, I saw Austin grabbing lunch with Kira..." She bit her lip nervously.

"Kira. Kira Starr? Kira, his ex Kira?" I asked. What was Austin doing with Kira? He was only probably meeting her because I was working. But come on, Kira? Really?

Trish sighed "Yeah, and they were about to talk about you if that weird surfer guy wanted his board back." What was she on about? Had Trish gotten knocked out or something?

"I'll just ask Austin a bit later... I'll ask him what he done when I was working and if he lies to me...then I'll never trust him again." I said looking down. The thought of Austin lying to me broke my heart. I'd never lied to him since we started going out.

"Well good luck with that. I'm going to find a new summer job... I seriously need the money! Bye Ally!" Trish said before I hugged and thanked her for spying on Austin for me. I don't like the word spying, it's more like...checking up on him! Yeah, that's what it is.

After she left I kept thinking of things to say to Austin but none of them sounded right! "Austin, I'm - I'm mad that you have other friends that are girls!" No, that isn't true. I mean Trish is his friend and she's a girl. I'll just tell him how I actually feel. Hurt.

Austin's p.o.v

I texted Kira after I walked away from Trish.

It's now half six, Ally should be finishing by now.

As I walked into Sonic Boom I noticed Ally dusting the piano. Uh oh, she's cleaning. That means she's upset about something. I walked over to her. "Hey Ally, what's wrong?" I asked behind her.

She spun around sharply. "I'm not speaking to you." Then she walked over to the counter and started dusting that.

What did I do? "Why not?" I asked walking over to the counter.

She turned to me and sighed "Nothing, forget about it."

O...Kay then. Someone's on their 'time of the month.' "Alright, why are you dusting? You seem upset." I asked frowning.

She looked up. "I'm fine. I just thought I'd clean this place up. So... What did you do while I was working then?" She asked casually.

"Just went to Mini's to get a bite to eat." I said putting my hands in my pockets.

"Oh, is that it? You didn't go with anyone or do anything?" She asked picking up a cloth from underneath the counter. Ally started cleaning frantically with the cloth.

"Yep, pretty much. I ate alone and then I just came back here." I said shrugging. I couldn't tell her that I was meeting with Kira. Ally doesn't like Kira and Kira doesn't like Ally.

She stopped cleaning suddenly and looked up at me. "You know what, I have to go." Ally said, almost automatically.

"Where're you going? Do you want me to come?" I asked hopefully.

"No, it's okay." She replied as quickly as she did before.

"Oh, alright then, I'll see you tomorrow then?" I asked. She's acting un-Ally like.

Ally's shook her head. "I'm out with Trish tomorrow. I'll just... see you around Austin." She said before calling up to her dad who was in the practise room, "Dad I'm going now!" Her dad poked his head around the corner "Okay sweetie, bye!" I walked out with her but as she got to the doors she turned to me and said "Bye Austin." Then she walked out.
