Ally's p.o.v
Austin's hiding something from me, I could tell in his eyes when he walked back over to me after he'd spoken to Kira. "What was all that about?" I ask casually, trying my hardest not to sound jealous or suspicious.
"Just work stuff." He shrugged. Why was he suddenly being so blunt? I really hate it when he does this!
I narrow my eyes. "Really? Come on Austin, tell me?" I plead.
He smiled at me but said like he actually was upset, "I'm sorry, I can't tell you." My heart broke. Tears welled up inside of me. Before I could do anything else, I ran up to the practice room and pushed the piano in front of the door, so he couldn't open it. I was actually surprised at my own strength, but I did use up all my energy so I sat against the wall and cried.
Austin's p.o.v
After Kira left I walked back to Ally. Her voice was shaky. "What was that all about?" She asked.
I was about to tell her the truth, but I had to wait for the right moment, the right place, and Sonic Boom was not that place. "Just work stuff." Which wasn't a complete lie.
She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Really? Come on Austin, tell me?" She was practically begging!
I couldn't deny those chocolate eyes...No Austin, wait for the right time. I smiled but said "I'm sorry, I can't tell you." That was a mistake. I saw the light in her beautiful eyes fade. The smile fell from her face. Her eyes filled with tears and then she bolted up the stairs. I stood there, shocked. Did I hurt her that bad?
I heard loud rolling noises coming from the practice room and I rushed up there, two steps at a time. I tried opening the door but it was blocked by something. What rolls and is that strong? The piano, of course. I tried to push it open with everything I had but it was no use. I sat on the floor and lent my back against the door.
Ally's p.o.v
Austin tried to open the door but after a few tries he stopped. I thought he'd left but then I heard his voice through the door. "Ally, I'm so sorry. Will you please open the door?" He asked.
We have to talk about this. I stood up, dried my eyes and then pushed the piano out of the way, back to where it was. A few seconds later Austin opened the door and walked in. The sight of him made me start to cry again. He rushed to where I was and hugged me tight.
I pushed him away. "Austin, I thought there were no secrets, I thought I could trust you, I thought we were so close, but I guess I was wrong." I said sitting on the floor.
He sat next to me. "Ally, we do, we have all of that, there are no secrets." He said. I stared at him in disbelief. Did he not get it?!
"Then why won't you tell me what's going on between you and Kira?" I said wiping my eyes.
He sighed and said. "I guess now is a good enough time. I wanted to tell you somewhere special but I should tell you now." He started to say. "Well?" I said impatiently. He took a deep breath and said. "Starr Records want to sign you, as a solo artist." he said smiling.
My eyes widened. "So what you're saying is that you broke my heart by keeping a secret as silly as that? Wow Austin, I thought we had a better relationship than that." I scoffed and then walked out. To the beach!
