Chapter 4: I like you

[Spring of 2010]

It was three in the afternoon, when a playful knock on the door woke up Sarah Paulson who's taking a nap on her living room's sofa.

"Who is it!?" Sarah yelled groggily, still lying on her sofa.

"It's me buddy!" the voice outside of her apartment's door responds, it was Pedro. Chilean best friend, Sarah knew him ever since they were 18, she missed this guy, it's been a long time since they've seen, or talk to each other. Sarah immediately shot off from the couch to get the door.

"Yo! So how's my beautiful birdbrain?" Pedro smirked as he showed Sarah two bottles of Champagne from his hands.

"Nut bag, Come in!" Sarah responded with a smile on her face, Pedro stepped in, he puts the champagne down on the dining table and went to the kitchen to get some wine glass

"Dude, seriously? You're going to come in to my apartment just to drink? Don't you have anything for me?" Sarah asked as Pedro started to pour the champagne into the glasses

"Well, this champagne is from Chile I really think you'll like it, here have a taste" Pedro handed the glass of champagne to Sarah, as he poured another one into the empty glass

"So, how's living in L.A?" Pedro asked as he sat on the dining chair.

"it's fine, but I kinda miss New York City, and so as Mom... and Dad" Sarah sighed as she sat on the dining chair, opposite to the chair Pedro is sitting on.

Sarah's phone buzzed on her pocket, she took it out and saw that it was Lily. She puts the champagne down and read her best friend's text message.

"Are you free this weekend? Mom, Dad and My bros are going to be here this coming Saturday; do you want to have lunch with us? I mean they're pretty impressed with your performance last week as Lisa Morrison in Collected Stories, and they told me that they want to celebrate my best friend's successful performance, so are you going to come?"

Upon reading the message a smile crept across her face, Pedro raised his brow upon seeing Sarah with a huge smile across her face while facing her phone.

"By the way, so how's Amanda?" Pedro asked still looking at his best friend, whose eyes still glued at the cell phone as she responds "Well, she's been pretty busy lately, She gave birth last two weeks ago she named her Molly June, she's pretty cute."

Pedro noticed his best friend's odd behaviour, he was curious on what's making her smile like that in front of her cell phone, aside from that she just can't keep her eyes away from the screen every time he asks her a question. Out of curiosity, he stole the phone from Sarah.

"Oh. It's Lily Rabe, New girlfriend?" Pedro asked while reading their conversation, Sarah frowned and reached for her phone and gave Pedro a finger as she giggled.

"You're red." Pedro commented upon seeing Sarah's face turned red as a tomato the moment she started staring at her phone again with a wide smile across her face.

Sarah looked at Pedro and rolled her eyes. "Because, our conversation is funny and I'm trying my best not to laugh" she tried to excuse herself, because the truth is that the moment she heard Pedro said her name and the 'Girlfriend' that's when she started to feel the blood rushing towards her cheeks.
