'How can I be enough?' She thought to herself while staring at her own reflection in the mirror.
She couldn't help it but to feel that uneasy feeling boiling inside of her again, that feeling of insecurity, that feeling of never being enough. After announcing the nominees for the Golden Globe Awards 13 days ago, when she heard that Sarah's nominated for Best Actress-Motion Picture-Drama, she couldn't explain the happiness that she had felt, she was so proud of her that she wanted to tell the whole world that she was happy for the love of her life, but at the same time she also felt fear slowly creeping in, as Cherry's words rang inside her mind once more.
"Sarah's that type of person who doesn't settle for less than she deserves. If she does, then everything she worked hard for will crumble apart."
Tears streamed down her face, as she pondered upon those words that Cherry said.
'What if I am not enough for Sarah? What if one day she'd realize that-'
"Lily!?"
Lily snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Sarah calling her name and knocking on the bathroom door.
"Lil? You've been there for almost an hour, are you okay?" Sarah asked, still knocking on the door playfully.
"I'm okay!" Lily yelled to make sure that Sarah could hear her from the other side of the door.
"Okay, I'm just going to prepare dinner for us."
"Okay, I'll be out in a minute," Lily responded as she wiped the tears off from her face. She walked to the sink and splashed some water on her face. She then grabbed a wash cloth and wiped her face slowly; she pulled the cloth down her eyes and looked cautiously at the mirror.
'Everything will be alright... You just need to calm yourself down, just as what Sarah said, don't stress yourself too much, whatever Cherry or Daniella said is not true'.
She laid the washcloth on top of the bathroom counter and head out only to be greeted a warm hug by Sarah.
"You snivelled," the older blonde whispered, as she kissed Lily's cheek before gently pulling away from her embrace to cup her face. "Lil, something wrong?"
Lily shook her head and smiled. "Nothing, it's just that I'm just happy that we're still together... I mean, I've never been in a relationship this long and with you, every day feels like I've just told you my 'yes' yesterday."
Sarah held Lily's hands together. She kissed them softly and whispered, "that's what I intended to do, I want to make you special every second of everyday coz' you deserve to feel wanted, you deserved to feel loved, you deserve all of the beautiful things in the world, and I want to give you my all."
Sarah wrapped her arms around Lily's neck. She leaned closer to the blue-eyed blonde and gently pressed her soft, plump lips against Lily's before plating a trail of sloppy kisses down her neck, she let her lips linger there for a while, her breath was warm and comforting to Lily. Sarah worked like magic to her, it was always Sarah who takes away all of her doubts, her worries, all of the things that's bothering her. She nuzzled Lily's neck and whispered, "I'm doing everything to give you the world, to give you the best because you deserve the best in life."
