She woke up lying on Sarah's bare chest. The brunette's arms were wrapped around her while their legs were tangled together. She looked up at Sarah's face while listening to her lover's gentle breathing and calm heartbeat.
She just couldn't believe that after being so hard on her, she's still there. Loving her unconditionally despite of pushing her away and shutting the doors off to let her explain her side, she felt guilty knowing that her actions broke this woman's heart.
"She didn't deserve that," Lily mentally said to herself as she reached out and cup Sarah's face, brushing her thumb gently across her cheek. "I shouldn't have doubted you. I shouldn't have listened to him, I should've let you explain and I should've listened, I wish I could tell you everything, but I am afraid that once I tell you everything, you'll never look at me the same way again, and I am afraid that once you do, I'll lose you."
"Good morning," she whispered softly, reaching up to kiss the brunette's lips. Sarah groaned as she felt the warmth of her lover's soft, honeyed sweet lips pressed against her own. She slowly and slightly opened her eyes, only to be greeted by the woman she'd risk everything for. "Baby, we need to leave before Ryan and the others arrive."
"Y..Yeah," Sarah groggily responded. Giving Lily a peck on her lips before lifting herself up from the floor, she bent over, taking all of their scattered clothes on the floor and handing Lily's garments to her.
"Thank you," Lily said as she started to dress herself up, while watching Sarah who's putting her clothes as well. "Thank you."
This time she whispered those words as she smiled at Sarah who's now dusting her clothes off. Sarah looked at her, furrowing her brows in confusion.
"You've said that twice, Lil," she laughed, as she offered her hand to lift the blonde off from the floor. When Lily took her hand, she pulled her off from the floor and smiled at her.
"The first one meant thank you for handing me my clothes," Lily chuckled but it died down quickly, her expression changed, her eyes were full of love as her ocean-blue eyes met Sarah's champagne-brown eyes. She gave her a warm smile as she cupped the brunette's face with her right hand. "And the second one, is for not giving up on me, I've hurt you, and I feel guilty about it, because it wasn't the right thing to do, I should've listened to you, I should've let you explain instead of acting like a bitch who shuts all of the opportunities for you to do so, I'm sorry, Sarah."
"Baby," Sarah sighed, as she placed her hand on top of the hand that was cupping her face and took Lily's free hand and put it on her chest. "Didn't I promised you that I'd stay by your side forever? And I told you that I'd never give you up because my heart knows that you are the one who made me feel most alive."
Sarah smiled as she leaned in to kiss Lily tenderly. "Let's go?" she queried softly as she pulled away from the kiss.
Sarah walked towards the door and twisted the knob open while applying her weight on it, trying to unlock the door to get them out of there, but she still got the same result. It remained locked.
She closed her eyes and sighed. "This is going to hurt," she mumbled as Lily looked at her concernedly. She took a few steps back and with her shoulder leading, she charged at the door. "Shit!"
