July 13, 2014
It's almost been a month ever since Sarah and Lily got back together. But, unlike before they'd have a hard time seeing each other because they have to keep in mind that Lily's dating Hamish for that publicity stunt that her publicist, Arlene pulled out from her bag of tricks.
Lily wanted to stop all of this nonsense; she couldn't even believe that she fell into Arlene's tricks, as the publicist took advantage of her during that time that she was confused, upset and drunk.
Seated facing each other in a fine dining restaurant in downtown LA, Lily swirled the wine in her glass as she looked directly into Arlene who's taking a few bites of her Salad and a sip of her wine. When Arlene noticed that Lily was staring at her, she wiped her mouth with a table napkin and asked, "Why do you want to meet me today?"
"I really appreciate all of the things that you've did in order to make my career blossom right from the start, but, what I am doing right now isn't right." Lily said calmly as she took a sip of her red wine.
"Lily honey, in order to get to the top sometimes we have to play the game, and I am helping you to win that game." The publicist smiled as Lily sighed and shook her head.
"Arlene, I don't want to do this anymore, I am really grateful that you've been helping me from the start but, I have to let you go, I just couldn't believe that you took advantage of me when I was drunk. You know that I've been going through a hard time when you called me and it just so happened that I was not in myself, and I've been asking you for countless of times to stop this but you manipulated everything in such way that I couldn't take back everything that I've said, I'm sorry... but---"
Just as Lily was about to finish what she's going to say, Arlene took something out of her bag with her lip curved a bit as if she's smiling sarcastically.
"You can't fire me if I have these." She slid the photographs across the table towards Lily, and with that the blonde's eyes widened in shock.
"The reason as to why you can't do this is because of her right?" The publicist asked sarcastically, raising a brow while looking at the blonde. Lily looked at the seven photos one by one before averting her gaze from them to meet Arlene's eyes.
"You spied on me?" Lily hissed, crumpling the pictures in her hands and glaring at the publicist.
"I had to, hun," she sarcastically said in a soft spoken voice, cautiously looking around her to check whether people are looking at them. "Because I've anticipated this moment, I know that I am already getting into your nerves as I am pushing you hard on this one, but, with that said I am doing this for you and for me as well."
"Arlene," Lily said firmly, clenching her fist together. "Let's just end the charade. Tell the people that we broke up or better yet the truth."
"So that you can be with that woman?" Arlene asked sarcastically, looking at the crumpled photos in Lily's hand. "I can't do that."
"Why not?" Lily asked, lifting a brow.
"Because, I have more of those," Arlene leaned her back against the chair and crossed her arms above her chest while looking at the crumpled photo on Lily's side of the table. "With those photos, you can ruin both of your careers. I do think that you can still remember the time when she rarely have projects offered to her after coming out at the Emmy's when Cherry won last 2005. These photos can ruin both of your careers; I don't think you'd want to see her in that 'place' again."
