Connecticut – Rabe's Residences.

"It's nice to have you here, Sarah." Lily's dad said as he took one big bite of the turkey leg.

"Well, Sir. It's a pleasure to be here." Sarah responded politely, over a bite of turkey.

Lily stared at the chair where her mother use to seat whenever they'd eat together as a family, whenever she looked at that seat she still couldn't believe that this will be the first Christmas without her.

Sarah noticed the sadness in the blonde's eyes; she took her hand underneath the table and looked at her as she squeezed it gently.

"What's wrong?" Sarah asked in a whisper, Lily sighed and shook her head before giving the brunette a forced smile.

"I'm okay," she says as she pulled her hand away from the brunette's light hold. "Thank you."

Lily finished her food and drink; she went to the kitchen and placed her dishes in the sink, before heading out to their backyard.

Sarah finished her food and excuses herself to go after Lily.

She took two winter coats from the coat rack near the door; one is blue and the other one's white. She put the white one on before heading out to the backyard.

Once outside, she saw Lily standing at the middle of the snow covered yard, in front of an abandoned tree house, wrapping her arms around herself to stay warm.

Sarah sighed and scratched the back of her head as she walked towards her and draped the coat over the blonde's shoulders before wrapping her arms around her.

Nuzzling the blonde's neck she whispered softly into her ear, "Lily, what's wrong?"

"It's just that, I miss her," she whispered softly as tears started to well up in her eyes while looking up to the tree house. "That tree house, when I was young every Wednesday night Mikey and I would sleep there, watching the stars before going to sleep."

Sarah kissed the blonde's neck before putting her chin on her shoulder as she listens to what she's saying.

"Mom would visit us and would tell bed time stories; Mikey's always the first one who falls asleep, that's why I still get a chance to talk to mom before going to bed," the blonde gently untangled herself from Sarah's embrace and put the coat on, before facing the brunette. "She told me that I must make wise decisions in life, and her last words? She told me I want you to make your decision wisely."

She walked closer to Sarah and looped her arms around her neck. "And I think that one of the best decisions that I've ever made, is to be with you."

Sarah wrapped her arms around the blonde's waist and pulled her closer to her, Lily leaned in to kiss Sarah's forehead, she could feel the warmth of her lips linger on her skin.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," Sarah whispered as she looked into Lily's ocean blue eyes. "And, I'll make sure that you won't regret that you chose me."

Lily smiled and closed her eyes as she leans in for a kiss on the brunette's lips.
