Chapter 11

[2010, October 31st] – 9:00pm

"How's the night,honey?" Lily's mom asked, looking at her daughter who's been staring into a blank space with a smile on her lips.

Lily looked at her mom; Lily's beautiful dreamy-blue eyes sparkled as her mouth turned up in a smile. Her mother could see how in love her daughter was; it's far different from her daughter's past relationships.

"Mom, it's been awesome," Lily replied "and thank you for that wonderful treat."

"Oh honey, you know how much I love the two of you." her mother chuckled as she sat next to her daughter, Lily smiled at her the blonde was curious where they've been while she they we're out.

"So, Mom," Lily said with a grin "How's your dinner-date with dad?"

Her mother furrowed her brows, a bit reluctant to answer the question at first; knowing that they didn't have any dinner dates, instead it was a trip to the hospital.

"Lily, the dinner date was fine," her mother said with a smile on her face as she embraced her daughter as if she would never let her go. "Honey, I'm going to miss you." her mother whispered softly into her ears leaving the blonde with a confused expression in her face as she gently pulled out from her mother's embrace and look at her.

"Mom," Lily said, cocking her head to the side "Is everything okay?"

Lily smiled at her mom, she noticed the sadness in her eyes, and although she was smiling her eyes tell a different story.

"Yes, everything is okay it's just that I'm going to miss you, because I won't be able to visit you next week." Her mother answered softly as she rests her hands on top of Lily's.

"It's just a week mom; you can still visit next, next week right?" Lily said, that's when her father walks in and sat on the single couch facing them.

"So, what am I missing?" her dad asked.

"Well, Mom's being too over dramatic because she's not going to see me next week," Lily laughed, before training her eyes back to her mom and give her a kiss on her cheek. "Just kidding mom, I love you."

"I love you too honey" her mother responded, giving the blonde a warm smile to hide something that would break her daughter's heart.

(November 1st – 7AM)

Lily was quietly sleeping in her room. While her mom and her dad, were on the kitchen preparing some of Lily's favourite foods before leaving.

"Hey, let me take care of that." Lily's dad said as he took over the kitchen.

"Honey, stop," her mom whispered as she hugs her husband and cried "I can't look at her and lie about this."

"I can't tell her yet, I don't want her to worry about me I want her to be happy, I want to see her happy and I don't want her to think that I couldn't enjoy this life in this borrowed time." Lily's mom said wrapping her arms around her husband's waist and resting her head on his back.

"When are we going to tell her? Isn't it unfair that Mikey and Jas already know what's going on? And your daughter doesn't even have a clue?"

"I know, we're going to tell her... but not now, I don't want to ruin that moment for her. You can see how happy she is right now; you can see it through the glimmer her eyes."

Lily's dad turned the stove off and faced her wife, cupping her face, giving her a forced smile "I can't lose you, I love you so much, I... I don't know what will I do without you"
