December 17th 2010

Lily woke up and glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand, and saw that it's five-thirty in the morning. She turned to her side to face Sarah, who's sleeping soundly next to her; she smiled and leaned closer to the brunette's face to kiss the top of her head.

"Happy Birthday" Lily whispered softy as the brunette groaned and shuffled a bit with her eyes closed.

Lily slipped out of the warm bed carefully, making sure that she's not going to wake Sarah up. She grabbed her clothes from the floor and put them back on, before pulling up the sheets to Sarah's chest.

She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and checked her messages; she got two messages, one from Mamie and one from her Dad, both messages were telling her to wish Sarah a happy birthday for them, she smiled and clicked the reply button telling them that she will, before putting her phone back on the nightstand.

Lily silently walked out to the kitchen; she turned the lights on and gathered all the ingredients that she needs to bake Sarah's birthday cake, when everything's ready she preheats the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and started making the cake.

Sarah reached across the sheets for Lily's warmth, she slid her hand along the pillow, searching for the blonde but there was nothing but cold, crisp sheets.

Sarah opened her eyes slowly. She rubbed her eyes and squinted at the bright light; she sat on the bed and blinked rapidly so that she could focus her gaze.

The room was blurry at first but she was surprised as she focused her gaze directly in front of her.

"Lily." Sarah whispered as she smiles.

As she regained focus on her vision, she saw Lily standing in front of her holding a tray with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee and a plate of honey drizzled waffles.

"Happy Birthday, Baby!" She greeted enthusiastically, she walked towards her and put the tray down on the nightstand before sitting on the bedside.

"Lil," Sarah sighed with a smile on her face as the blonde leaned towards her and kiss her cheeks. "You shouldn't have bothered baking me a cake."

"Sarah, it's your birthday and I want to make you feel special on your birthday," Lily said as she placed her hand on top of Sarah's. "I planned out things for you today, so get your ass up from that bed, take a shower, eat your breakfast and let's go!"

"Where are we going anyway?" Sarah asked as she buckled up her seat belt, narrowing her eyes as she looked at the excited blonde who's sitting in her car's driver's seat.

"You'll find out soon." Lily said raising her brow with a playful smirk, she turned the engine on and grabbed onto the steering wheel. "I know you'll like it."

Sarah sighed and smiled at her. "Are we going to have lunch in a fancy restaurant?" Sarah raised her brow while looking at Lily; she was trying to read the blonde's expression as to whether or not she guessed it right. "You told me that you want to eat something fancy last night, so I assume we're going to have a fancy lunch date."
