Chapter 29: Manipulation

A/N: Again, people this is a flashback of what Raulson have gone through in this fanfic. So, yeah, there's still a lot to come. :)

"Yes, this is her. This is Lily Rabe, the woman who changed my life."

Upon hearing those words, his heart broke into a million pieces. He couldn't believe it, how is it possible that the woman he met 7 days ago is the exact same woman who tamed the heart of the "Love of his life".

He immediately felt a whirlwind of emotions, feelings that he has to hide while facing her, facing Sarah. He felt anger, sadness, disappointment, frustration and even fear, fear of losing her over that woman.

He was tired, tired of loving her for 22 years without returning the same feelings.

"Are you really that naïve?"

He thought to himself as he looked at Sarah, who's reminiscing the moments she shared with Lily as she looked at that wallpaper. Those moments where everything seems to be alright and perfect, where everything seems to be a dream as they've shared a love so wonderful, that no words can express the happiness that they feel in each other's arms,

"What will you do if one day, she'll leave you for a man?" He queried while his mind started to think of ways to get her love him.

"I don't know, Bolton." She conservatively replied, as she slid her phone inside her pocket and look into Bolton's beryl-green eyes.

"I can't afford to lose the person who means the world to me. I can't lose her she's everything to me, Bolton."

He clenched his fist as he tries to remain calm as his mind was racing with dark thoughts on how to manipulate the whole situation in favour of him.

"But, what if she's not the one for you? What if someone is out there to love you more than she does?"

Sarah shook her head and flashed a forced smile. "Ever since the day I laid my eyes on her, I couldn't imagine a future without her."

"Catherine, I'm here." He mumbled in a barely audible voice while looking at his lap, with his fist clenched tightly as disappointment and anger slowly consumes him.

"Did you say something?" Sarah asked looking at him confusedly as she rests her back against the couch.

He shook his head and composed himself as looked at Sarah. "What if, while you're gone she found someone who'd be there for her? What if she won't let you explain? What if she found someone else to replace you?"

Sarah glared at him. "That isn't possible, Bolton, and I am sure that she'd hear me out, she just need sometime. I know that Lily have a really bad trust issues and I am no exception. She told me that one of her boyfriends cheated on her and that traumatized her." Sarah said calmly.

"There's more to that story," he mentally said to himself. "It's such a pity that the woman she loves still hides something from her."

"Hey, Catherine, I'll be right here for you, when you need someone to talk to I'm just here, I'll be always here for you."

"Thanks, Boltz," Sarah whispered as he embraced her tightly.

"No Problem," He responded although deep inside, he knows that his heart and mind speaks otherwise.
