Chapter 22: Save me

[Present]

Just when she was about to give up, she realized something.

She needs to fight for her love; she needs to get her away from that selfish man. And she'll do whatever it takes to get her back.

Sarah's POV

I stood up from the floor and grabbed my wallet, my phone and my keys before bolting out of the apartment. Forget about getting changed, I don't care if I'm still on this fucking gown. There's no more time.

I looked at my wrist watch. It was already 9:45, and driving to the airport would take me 15 – 20 minutes!

I sprinted down to the parking lot, burst into my car and revved up the engine quickly. While I was driving towards the airport, I dialled Zach's number and he picked up immediately.

"Hey Sar, what's up!?" he asked.

"I need a conference call, now!" I demanded as I turned right and stepped on my gas pedal to pick up some speed. "He got her! He got Lily!"

"Wha!?—"

"Just get them in the line! I'll explain what happened in this conference call!"

I heard Zach sighed. His line went silent for a few seconds, until voices speak up from our friend's other line.

"Sarah?" Jessica asked in a classy tone. "What's happening?"

"Jess, we're almost together but then, Hamish!" My grip tightened on the steering wheel whenever I remembered that smug-face of his when he barged into my apartment.

"Jess, he got her! I don't know how he found out that Lily's with me but... he did!"

"What!?!!!" They all yelled in unison, causing me to put my phone away from my ears for a while.

But then among all of the voices, I didn't hear Mamie.

"Mamie?" I asked.

"I...I'm so sorry Sarah," she said, almost in a whisper. "I... I... It was my fault."

"What!?" I hissed angrily as I took a left turn, I'm approximately 5 minutes away from the airport now. "What's going on!?"

"It... wh..." she was stuttering, and I could hear faint sobs.

"Honey, its okay, tell us," I heard Kathy says comfortingly. "What happened?"

"Well, H...Hamish was looking for... her last night...I was in Lily's apartment, when he confronted me, he was looking for Lily, I... I actually told him that I don't know where she is, then...whi... while he was... talking to me something... got his attention," Mamie was stuttering, sobbing between every word that she had just spoken. "It...It was the letter, the letter that you gave Lily."

"WHAT!?" Another one of that loud unison screams and shrieks from the other line.

"Guys, hold on let Mamie continue," I sighed as I directed the car towards the freeway, almost hitting another car. "SHIT!"

"What the fuck!?" Kathy yelled. "Paulson!! Are you driving!?"

"I have to go to the airport! I need to take her back! He forced her to come with him!"

"You better hurry and drive safely to catch up with her," Mamie sobbed. "Her flight is at 10:20."

"I will! Guys please, meet me here, please." I sighed.
