"Aragorn." Legolas says from behind me.
I turn after putting chainmail armor around me.
"Yes?" I ask.
"I am sorry for my tone with you. You've never led us astray before." He lowers his head.
I put my hand on his shoulder.
"It is alright Legolas. Everyone is riled up." I say.
Gimli walks forward.
"These blasted things!" He huffs.
It drops from him. My and Legolas let out a small chuckle.
"It's a little tight around the chest." He says.
"You look like a fine man." I say.
I hear a horn blow. We turn.
"That is no orc horn." Legolas says.
"No. It is not." I say.
It's elvish. We run outside. I see the gates open as Theoden King walks to the gate. Elven warriors. Archers. Skilled. There were hundreds of them. Wrapped in purple cloth and skin like the moon. It's like a sea of gold. Hadir walks forward. I'm too shocked to breath or to speak.
"It has been brought to our ears that in the eve of the battle between Middle Earth and Sauron, there was an alliance between men and elves. We have come to honor the alliance once again. We will fight for Rohan." Hadir says.
I nod. I wrap my arms around him. I am just so relieved that they showed up. Theoden King lowers his head respectfully. We may yet have hope.
